Thanks for letting me know! I didn't actually know that was a thing until you said!! I have just added it as a related video now. Thanks for giving me the heads up mate! 🙌
Thx for the tut sensei🙌 you ever tried Animation to create such a Charakter? Working with the Line Tool is easy too. You can easy cut up the lines you dont need it.
Thanks, mate! I haven't ever delved into animation, but I can definitely see how the characters I design could work for it! Maybe in the future, I will learn to animate! Any software you recommend?
Do you ever draw the vector linework say like an app like fresco then bring that into Illustrator? Maybe too much work with all the extra anchor points it adds, but just a thought
As an avid illustrator user I find your tutorials so informative. Do you take Adobe workshops to learn all of the tricks and tips or through sheer exploration?
Yeah, just through exploration, mate. I've been using the software more or less every day for the past 10 years. Over that time, I have just picked up lots of little features that Illustrator has to offer :) 🙌
Honestly I think either works The crazy thing for me is the placement of the head in 1 for some reason makes the letters seem more spaced out than the letters in 2
I think the top version has movement to it like they are going to get a freshbite, vs. feeling like the character is static. The movement fits better with the tongue waving in the air.
I get that with my church’s logo. Icon on left and text on right. I always need to shift it to the left to make the text look closer to centre rather than mathematically aligned centre.
I get your point but the after version is still not well balanced, i think it is something inbetween both versions. Want to see more videos of you, great designs!
