If you do the calculation from Richard Holdener to workout the power level from a normally aspirated to turbo, then this car is 230hp at the flywheel @ 15psi. Subtract 23% to give a wheel figure.

I love everything about this car except the hardtop. Putting a hardtop on a roadster is sacrilege. I'm a purist, and these cars are ragtop cars in their foundational heritage. Putting a hardtop on it is just wrong! It's like something a rich boardroom douchbag would do to a roadster. Can't ever accept that. But the rest of the car is excellent.
Good introduction and info...but FBmarketplace is always flooded with Scamsters, which is easy to spot once you open their profile and see them have many listings of cars which is way too cheap. I was wondering whether there is a way to filter ads by avoiding these scam profiles which will definitely save a ton of time.
this is a bit odd but i have a knowledge gap and i cant find a video talking about the basics of building hp in newer vehicles. im old,50 almost and when i was 20 i loved working on cars and built a datsun 240z with a chevy 350 in it. i recently was given a 2009 escape with a 2.5l in it and have been working on it as my project car. i rebuilt my transmission and no issues there. now i want to create a little h.p. but don't understand how it all works with fuel injection and computers. back in the day it was just bigger valves, cam lobe sizes, and timing. idk anyone into cars and no one shows this stuff in a video cause it's not the sexy part. can you tune any computer? do you buy a new comp? if you can point me in the right direction that would be great. ty
I had one of these years ago I remember it leaked oil all the time and the dash and seats cracked so bad i had to get covers it was a real let down I got it for $7000 in 2008 and drove it untill someone ran in to the back of it. Then sold it for $500. It sure did cost a lot and it ran on premium gass at that time it was $4.47 a galon it was a money pit for sure.
