I love very much my 2 AlphasV2 10 and 12m, the only shade is the upwind angle, I know one strut kites are the worst to go upwind... anyway maybe this will be even better!
Do you take the valves off when packing these? I've noticed on my first gen Alphas that the valve can tear into the fabric since there is no reinforcement in that area.
After deflating and rolling up your kite always put the valve back in the opening and don’t leave it just hanging out. The edges on valves can cut into the sail if left hanging out and rolled and packed tight.
I know I watched a video of yours recently where you explained that you should put some air in center strut first before inflating the leading edge (or vice versa). I can’t figure out what video this is in. Can you point me in the right direction?
Hey, thanks for another great video. Please could you show some stiching and unpicking the main seam I have tried a few times To unpick the main seam and how to go about closing one, a domestic machine struggles with it so tips advice in this area would be amazing there are not many people fixing kites and wings near me in the North of UK. So I often have to diy to get on water 💧 Thanks for all the tips and help Chris Tomo 😊
Thanks Jeff now repairing my kites customized, my UFOs sewing little loop to the leading edge like all other kites have to attach my kite pump thank god I have a lot of old kites used a lot parts and fabric to get the newer kites back on the water. Also thank god for Amazon, they sell the kite threads that are used in their factories needles, etc., etc. when people call you a fagot for taking sewing in high school who the fagot now making good money repairing kites. Thanks Jeff
Hi jeff i have done some bladder repairs with pretty good success but you made that look so easy and clearly the prep is the key. Taping on to a piece of plexi looks so easy. Tks so much!!
It’s neither. We have raw aluula sheets to cut and create what we need to do the repair. Depending on the blow out we can make any size aluula tape or pieces.
Did I fully understand that this is the manufacturer's scrap and in addition to the problems, the customer would become the owner of such a kinked and broken kite that will no longer be sold to anyone???
No you didn’t understand it correctly. We were paid to warranty repair the kite for Duotone. We work with all the manufacturers because we warranty all our work for the life of the kite.
Hi I’m looking for a new board but I can’t decide between a 78lts inflatable or a 98lts rigid one. My actual board is 110lts inflatable, I would say my skills level right now is intermediate and my weight it’s around 85kg. What advice could you give me?
There are a number of new wings with booms that are not removable and pack down easily and into a relatively small bag -- i.e. NP Firefly and the Eleveight V5.
Hi Jeff, I recently bought the mav2 awesome ride. 100kg, 2400 to start with foiling. I can get hold of a ha1450 2022, how does it compare to these new foils?
@@kiteboardingcom1 Thank you for very quick answer - already ordering that. I also wonder - how do you thread the steel ring on the harness cable on your back? Is that cable detachable? Or is that a key chain style ring that is like a tight spiral?
@@pkundrat It depends on the harness. Some wing harnesses, like the Mystic Wing Harness have a removable line around the back that you can easily add the ring to. Others like the Ride Engine have a couple D rings that you can add a line to for this purpose.
This is brilliant. Crucial advice! 3 out of 5 struts worked perfectly. The last 2 just won’t slide all the way. Is it crucial to get the collar sitting flush on the valve or if it is half-way and no amount of strength moves it, is that a sufficient seal?
Thank you so muchhh this video was really really helpful for me and it saved my life as there is no one telling about zipper ends. Everybody only shows the folding blader ends. I really appreciate, many many love and respect for you 💘💘💘💘
Nice video and presentations, very clear enough, As a newb in wingfoil, really like to appach with smaller board or inflatable one as travelling locally oversea trip, i am struggling to chose the Macro Air board size of 4'7" 80L vs 5'3" 110L, with my weight 62kg and 1.65m tall. Wing 5m and foil 1700, that is target size and going to place order soon for my 1st wing foiing trip to Thailand. Hope sharing those info and get a comment from an experienced riders. Tks
Meanwhile majestic x is out. What do you think how it compares to the one in the video? Not sure if i prefer the longer velcro system from the non x one.
Tried this and the new valve stuck to the other side of the bladder which tore when I pulled it away to unstick it. Also the kit I bought didn’t come with the extra patch for the other side, customer service did not respond to my emails asking about this. Not impressed.
Hi! Is it the new Ocean Rodeo Glide AA-series? What is the new material like? Is it as rigid as the yellow aluula? Does it age as badly as yellow aluula?
I got the pigtails to match a cabrinha bar to a naish kite. The cab bar has knots on the center lines, the naish kite has knots on the center lines. If I'm getting this correctly, should I make a lark's head knot on each end of the center pigtail? It looks kind of skecthy but if it is safe I'm down, Thank you !
