Do you have the name of the twin wall plastic product for lining the planter? I need this exact item for my two steel planters that killed my roses this summer from the heat.

How thick metal do you use?

Should have used 12% peroxide then would have been fair comparison

Basic chemistry: add acid to water.

The rusting tests I needed to watch for my new corten boxes. Nicely done. I'll likely do the muriatic acid.Thank you.

nice video. Will the rust ever stop running off? Worried about staining a deck
@petasanderson2158
@petasanderson2158 5 месяцев назад
Probably not. Every time it gets wet you’ll get runoff. I’d seal the surface with an exterior deep tone flat.

Do you need to use the bottom? I want mine open with no bottom

Thanks Dimitri! This helped me greatly after losing track of the instructions for my big planter! “It’s all downhill from there” I know what you intended to say (easier), but that’s not what this English expression means…it means (worse). 😉

I particularly like the fact that they threaded the holes for the bolts. Getting the nuts on is an exercise in fine motor skills.

What gauge steel do you use?

It was easier for me to assemble the planters by standing the long panels up on their ends. There was less balancing required.

thanks for the video, it is very useful. Do you know of a brand of liner that will fit inside the planter?

Once the raised bed is put together can you sit on the edge? How sturdy are they?
@debrareynolds1925
@debrareynolds1925 2 года назад
I had smaller ones made which I designed using 1/4 mild steel. They are super sturdy. Mine are bolted together with 1/2 inch bolts. You can design and make them yourself. The tricky part is making sure that if you have two getting them aligned and level with each other.. You can stand on my edges.
@debrareynolds1925
@debrareynolds1925 2 года назад
I use mild steel with no edge as it looks better and is sturdier.

I understand the panels will rust (for color and patina), but how about the fasteners? Do you use stainless steel?
