Hello car guy. Just saw your video #22 exploring the Pgh. Vintage Gran Prix. and really enjoyed it. but i want to point out the video of the Austin Healey you covered. It is not a James Bond Car. James drove a couple of cars among them Aston Martins. I By the way, I will keep the video because i am the owner of that 1966 Austin Healey.. Thanks for filming it and Cheers

@@cak5171Thanks!!! I actually posted him a message to check it out lol. He was my main inspiration for starting the channel and while filming my very first video I ran into him in line at the old mill opening day last year. It was awesome! Did you see the contest I'm running?
Awesome video. I look forward to having a cold one with Jeters. The University Art students did a nice job on the Merry Go Round making the ponies nice and bright. Cheers
Carousels, on the other hand, have a longer history than merry go rounds. The first recorded carousel was created in the 17th century, and they were initially designed as a training tool for knights. Eventually, carousels were created for amusement purposes and were powered by hand, before evolving into steam and electric power in the 1800s. Today, carousels are often ornately decorated with intricate designs and have become a classic staple at many amusement parks.
Merry go rounds, also known as roundabouts, were originally powered by human or animal labor. It wasn’t until the invention of the steam engine that they became more popular and could be found in amusement parks. Merry-go rounds became popular in the early 1900s, and during this time, they were often decorated with mirrors and lights to add to their charm and allure.
Great video! I’ve been researching this camera for a long time. Did you use the low light mode in the old mill or was it just standard? Are you using the audio from the camera or do you have a mic? I have the osmo pocket 1 but the zoom doesn’t work too well. I loved the stability and some other things but not the zoom. Thanks for the info and footage. I may get one of these.
Thanks!! I did use the low light setting on the old mill. I am using the "DJI mic 2". It's pretty slick, no receiver needed, you just turn it on and it automatically pairs. The zoom isn't great on this one either (I think only a 2x). I did have to jump through some hoops to get it in the park. Staff thought it was a selfie stick and I eventually had to get one of the heads to inspect it and put a tag on it.
The camera has a permanent gimbal attached to it and has INCREDIBLE stabilization! I didn't use any stabilization enhancements in editing and I was purposely being a little erratic with how I was holding it to see how it would handle it. Also no filters, everything was in 'auto' mode.
I giggled when you said the last fighters were not professionals, and this may have been their first fight. The guy who won, his name is Malin Grant, and he owns a fencing school in monroeville, Pa. Pittsburgh fighters guild. 😊
It was such a fun event as always. I always love getting photos back too. Only issue this year with that is most of the photos were of the sword fighting and decorations (barely any of the actual guests throughout the whole night). There has always been so many photos of the guests but not this year. Still loved it and will be back
I got the gold season pass. It comes with 2 free Kennywood tickets. Those tickets are pre-loaded onto my pass. When I want to use them I go to Guest Services (just outside the entrance) and they will scan my pass and give me a printout of the ticket that can then be used. You can only use 1 free ticket per day.
We went yesterday about 2:30 we were there about an hour not too bad. Haven’t been back to Kennywood since I was a teenager almost 17 years now. Can’t wait to be back.
I like the Gold cup better than the Platinum one. The Platinum one looks like it gets hotter faster. I noticed a shiny new paint job on Sky Rocket, nice and brighter.
