Born 1962 January 23, the last born baby to Reverent Benjamin (Senior) and Mrs. Grace Dube, Bonani Benjamin Dube the last of the five children, grew up in Soweto like any other child in a Christian and musical family. His Father was a guitarist, his mother a singer. At age 9 he developed the love of playing a guitar and later at age 11 started playing piano and drums.

Benjamin Dube is a music ministerial visionary, anointed singer and songwriter, music producer, mentor/father to many musicians in South Africa. A Gospel legend of Africa, Benjamin Dube began the journey of his calling in ministry in 1986 when he recorded a single - HOLY SPIRIT which was a cross-over hit song and chart buster in local radio stations and sold over 25 000 units in the year of its release in RSA.

In addition to his music ministry, Benjamin Dube is a sought after itinerant speaker. He spoke in former President Nelson Mandela's "Freedom of the City" award presentation, sharing podiums on both Nelson Mandela and Thabo Mbeki. And he is a multi award winning artist, also received an achievement award from the "Crown Gospel Awards" that was presented by the former President Jacob Zuma. He is a well travelled preacher, and has shared the podium with Bishop TD Jakes, Bishop John Francis, Bishop Tudor Bismark, Kirk franklin, Andrae Crouch, Clark Sisters, Cece Winans, Donnie Mclarkin, Bishop Mavin Winans, Israel Houghton, Vashawn Mitchell, Jekalyn Carr and many other renowned speakers and musicians.
