I bought an avr5700 to use as a two channel amp. My problem is with setup. I have hooked up a tv as a monitor to access. I bought a working oem remote. Hooked tv up with svideo then composite cables. Neither way will pop up set up menu when I push the menu button on remote. TV input is set to correct input. But always says no video signal. Tried factory reset pushing direct and stereo buttons. Receiver works fine but only accepts digital signal thru my streamer. Really need analog to sound the best . Any ideas or other things to try I am at my witts end.
Cordial saludo 🙂 . . . .
I've had the 770 990 and two 999 cd players I got the last 999 cd player from a pawn shop for £19.99p took it home put new cogs on and it's still working great
Hello, nice video. I have found one of this cd player at 250 euros second hand. Does it worth the money? I do not have any sacd only cds. Mainly rock metal. My other system amplifier Rotel RA1520, speakers kef R300. Thanks
It's a good player and it was being sold for $400 new. For a second hand, 12 year old machine, 250 euros is quite a bit too much. I wouldn't go for it. Since you're not interested in SACDs and all you need is a decent cd player, there are several brand new ones from Cambridge Audio (AXC25) , Teac (CD-P650), System Fidelity (CD250), Pioneer (PD10AE or PD30AE), Pro-ject (CD Box) or Block (C250), for up to 300 euros. Just my two cents...
@@meletisstavridis3125 The two Denons are still being sold brand new, for 350 and 400 euros, respectively. I don't see the point buying, either of them, used, for $300 (260 euros)... It's really a shame some pricks, sell them for $300. The 7003 model was being made between '08 and '12. It's an SACD/CD player. Sold for 720 or so, euros new. So yes, $300 used, in good condition, is an ok price. It's a rather good machine. There's a catch though... I do repairs of audio gear and I tell you the laser heads and tray mechanisms of 10 or more year old cd players are pretty difficult to find, nowadays. You should seriously consider that and if possible find out how heavily this 7003 was used, when was it bought, when was it made etc. BTW you're Greek aren't you? Living abroad?
No just the first 2 has the sound chip and phono outs, if you have a later one you can still convert it to an amp via a short thru cable that is shipped with PS1 light guns but it won't have the sound chip but will still be decent enough.
I remember when back in the day people would say how Technics wasn't good and how most of their stuff wasn't up to some standards and wouldn't even cal it a Hi-Fi....20-30 years later, when everyone else makes junk Technics got upgraded to a High-End. This very CD player is amazing and special in so many different ways.
If this is the deck with the optical output, I used to have one of these before I replaced it with a Yamaha model that had had LP capability; I find myself regretting my decision after seeing this video...
Hello, how would you say these speakers fare against HI-fi speakers of brands like Monitor Audio, Wharfedale, B&W? For example, how would they compare to MA BX-1 (if you've had the chance to listen to them) or other similar speakers?
@@Mihai51 You need a remote to program the thing. It's probably not configured for your system. There are a lot of ways to do this and you don't necessarily need the OEM remote to do this. Not sure if you found a solution for this since you commented, but feel free reply/PM me for assistance.
