I added a bit much soap to my lamp so I emptied out half and added more water now my one jelly fish works great the other one like to sink to the bottom kinda frustrating so I took one out and we will see if he works again
The best is start over, I have a video on this channel and pinned to this video that shows step by step guides how to make a tank from scratch that works the moment you flick the switch... and keeps working for months on end.
I've noticed that my lamp suddenly stopped changing colors, now it's just pink every time i turn it on and the motor start working since I turn up the switch and never stops, all the wires and voltage seems to ve fine but idk
Ooooooh, I forgot about the dish soap 😅 Thanks! 😊 I also had to help them get the air out of their lil domes and now they're swimming around just fine! 😂
@GetIntoYourLife Thanks for the vid! While useful for my future endeavors (I own 3 jellyfish tanks), I was pointed incorrectly when I searched for my issue, which is a cloudy water problem. Brand new, I had a beautifully clear tank for a month or so. One day had to unplug it momentarily. But when I immediately turned it back on, from that point forward the water became very cloudy. No biggie because I can simply empty the water and start with distilled and drop of soap again like before. But I am still curious what caused it to become cloudy just because I unplugged it once. Maybe others have this issue too. So while your video was unrelated to my issue, I still learned much, but at the same time wish to point out the following dilemma your video presents... You broach an interesting scientific topic that appears to be in major conflict with the manufacturer’s instructions. Allow me to scientifically explain. Adding salt to water makes it denser subjecting sinking objects to increased buoyancy. So things that would ordinarily sink in regular tap/distilled water would instead become more buoyant and tend to float to the surface in salt water, and more-so depending on the volume/ratio of salt to water (search ‘Dead Sea’). However, and in direct conflict with your addition of salt, most instructions that come with these Jellyfish Lamps instead tell you to coat the jellyfish while others say only to add a drop or two of dish soap after filling with ordinary, unsalted, tap water. BUT! Interestingly dish soap does the opposite of salt. Scientifically speaking, by design dish soap is a “surfactant” which is used to break surface tension in liquids, thus causing buoyant particles to sink rather than float. In other words, as I said, it acts the opposite of salt. The complex science behind the miracles accomplished using simple dish soap (surfactants) goes beyond the scope of my point - other than to say there is an apparent conflict between your recommendation to increase buoyancy using boiled salted water versus the manufacturer’s instruction to decrease buoyancy using a drop or two of soap. What say you? Furthermore, your advice to pre-boil the water is beneficial, but I’d like to scientifically explain to your followers why and expound on your water storage rules. Bottled distilled water is the most pure and should be used first whenever possible. While boiling is nowhere close to the purity of distilling, it is better than raw tap water. Boiling will not remove mineral deposits etc (think cloudy), but will kill bacteria that can lead to other issues e.g., bacterial bloom or blossom which also causes cloudy or milky water. In closing, by water manufacturer’s own instructions, unopened distilled water can last indefinitely if stored in darkness and away from heat (or even better a fridge). However, once opened the expiration varies based on use. For drinking it is 4-7 days after after opening depending on storage temperature. But if using it only in appliances, e.g. jellyfish tanks, chemical mixing or cleaning the occasional coffee maker or ice machine, you can store it for up to 1-2 years, also depending on storage temperature. Any feedback from anyone on this topic is quite welcome.
Bought this from Amazon week ago. Good player so far. I hope connections and battery lasts long. Usually these gets broken after 2 years. I used before Sandisk sansa, after 2 years broken buttons and battery.
I think i need one. Dialing the tone down on my pedal makes it too recessed but too high then theres sibilance. Could be a good way to cut down the sharpness that i dont want
I have a player from 2018. the c5m. Its not sold anymore. Havent used it for a while, but its still kicking. AGPTEK really makes good stuff, compared to western comanies like sony (overpriced) and sandisk (cheap, low quality)
The most effective way I found to get the LED Jellyfish Lamp Tank working is as follows: 1. I cleaned the contained repeatedly so I could not detect any particles. 2. I also cleaned the Jellyfish as well. 3. I decided that the directions for getting the right amount of soap was too problematic. So, I made a mixture of about 10 drops of soap in a small cup and mixed with some reverse osmosis water. 3. I filled the container with water and inserted the Jellyfish. I then turned on the device and added a small amount of the soap/water mixture. 4. I then used a straw to make sure there were no bubbles on the Jellyfish by moving the Jellyfish so that any air bubbles did not show on the tenacles. If the Jellyfish did not sink and recirculate then I removed some of the water from tank and added some of the soap/water mixture, then moved the Jelly fish with a straw. If the Jelly fish descended and worked, then I had the right concentration. If they did not, I repeated step 4 until the Jelly fish descended and cycled. The concept then is to add gradually the higher concentration of soap/water mixture until the process worked. The key is to take out some water from the tank with an ear syringe and add the same amount of soap/water mixture. Then I just repeated until the process worked so observation and incremental taking out water and adding the same amount of concentrated soap/water mixture worked very well.
I’m going to assume your model is designed with a more powerful jet… However.. try adding more dish soap one at a time and stirring and experimenting.. check the pin post here for the link to get them running from scratch.. worth a shot
i have a similar lamp that can be red yellow green blue or purple. blue and purple suddenly stopped working, but all the wires look fine. any ideas on what i can do?
NEW and improved LED Jellyfish Video is here. It is a visual step by step guide to help you: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1FJ1XIquZtY.htmlsi=oa7hJD_i5MEOHq5U
Hopefully you'll respond to my comment, but i got mine today but i see everyones jellyfishes is just floating or stuck on the bottom, meanwhile it looks like my fan at the bottom is on full blast and FORCES the jellyfishes to be at the top, causing it to look all messed up and bumps into each other. I dont know if its a technical problem or something but is there something i can do about it?
Well I had filmed a new tutorial, how to do it properly from the beginning. I haven’t edited.. lots of turmoil in my life for 2 months.. a face to face with a 700 lbs black bear in my parents driveway, then weeks later a trip to ER for a painful improptu minor surgery.., and finally today I am missing 3 credit cards, my healthcare card and more.. … but I ALWAYS bounce back. To answer your question question before I upload the new vid: wash your tank out thoroughly AND the fishies. completely… boil a big pot of water. let cool. take 2 bb sized drops of dish soap and coat each fish. 2 drops each. roll them around till they have a thin coating. now, the crucial step is putting only ONE bb sized glob in the water. no more. no less. Toss the suckers in gently, give a press down into the water. turn it on. if you followed all that.., they start dancing quickly on their own. -J
Hello, when you bought the lever, did it come with the screw and hex nut? I have the same shaver (limural). Because my hex nut and screw for the lever broke. May I get the link to for the gold blade and lever please? Thank you
Never had it happen… but sounds like your water is too thick and they are staying at the bottom too long. Remake your tank with clean distilled water and one BB sized glob of dish soap.
