Best cover of this I've seen so far! People don't realize how hard this song is to play because it is not fast, but there are a lot of subtleties to it. But once you master the herky-jerky time signature it all comes into play, and gets easier every time. Very nicely done! I have a friend who's been playing a lot longer than me, who can't handle this at all. I'm surprised I can play it myself. You know what they say, if you can't play a song the right way, call it jazz. You don't have to do that on this one!
The most underrated guitarist EVER in my opinion. Such tone, such feel, such emotion. The bloke is a genius. Seen Camel many many times and they never ever disappointed, no matter what the line up.
Yeah, I totally agree. I'd like to share some of my favorite bands, tell me if you know any of them: Unitopia, United Progressive Fraternity, Southern Empire, The Flower Kings, Big Big Train. If you don't know one band, I really hope you'll like it, and please, share some of your favorite bands as well :) I'm really needing some new bands to listen to haha
40 years on this is still my favorite piece of music. I remember the first one I heard it was in concert in 1979-80 not quite sure. I was almost at the front of the stage and I remember clearly being stunned, literally speechless at the end. I have seen Camel many times and never tire of Andy. I also remember when they came back after Andy's illness at the Barbican: there was a 10 minutes standing ovation when they came on stage. I have been to hundreds of concerts in my life and I have never ever seen that before and since. From 1:11 is a beautiful illustration of when someone is touched by God
@@Arsene1. Hi, Arsene. I don't remember that. I was so exited after many years waiting for that moment. I hope you understand me, my English is not too good. Saludos
Andrew Latimer is an emblematic Icon of the Progressive Rock History. Even if he has not the nowadays young players speed and technics, he possesses an exquisite, remarkable, sensitive, depurated, charming taste and his own original style, as a first class guitar player.
