Hello everyone and a warm welcome to my channel, And More Central. Here you will find transport related content from both the virtual world of gaming as well as videos looking at transport in the real world both in the UK and beyond. We have a superb community that I work alongside on our multiplayer livestreams that take place in the virtual world.
I have created a number of projects for OMSI 2 Bus Simulator that you will find here and I continue to work alongside some of the finest developers in helping and testing their projects. In the real world I travel about, testing out new buses, routes and assessing networks from a passenger and industry prospective. I also run my own community bus events group and bring you behind the scenes at events I coordinate and support.
And More Central is a channel where you can be yourself and relax, with regular uploads and group activities, there is something for everyone. So a warm welcome to my channel and I hope you enjoy the uploads!
Leeds City Transport buses back in the 50/60's as it was known then were green, then came the Metrobus green/white during the Metro/NBC years. Then once Yorkshire Rider came about, that were green/yellowish colour before being merged into Firstbus. Now were started to see the regional variations with Leeds back into green, and Bradford back into blue colours.
Its like a lottery on getting those buses, also the Streetdeck electroliners. Instead of the whole route being allocated to all new buses, as what the Yutongs was allocated to on the 5 service, im now occasionally getting the Yutong on the 55 service, and also seeing on other services. Same with seeing the all-over branded Park&Ride buses going on other routes instead of park&ride service. There leads to confusion that your thinking its going to the park&ride terminal instead your finding its going to Middleton instead!🤦🏻♂️
You should come down and experience some Buses in Stagecoach South. The Stagecoach Division which still has the most ALX400's (36) in service which could start to be retired as early as September. Operated out of Basingstoke, Winchster, Guildford and Aldershot which has the highest amouth
The Greenline name is predominantly an Arriva brand now - even the 724 uses Greenline branding on their Wright Pulsar 2's between Heathrow and Harlow in Essex which you can do in three and a half hours (with a quick change at St Alban's)
Nice, I not been on 702 as its expensive like coach fares but I been on greenline flightline 703 Heathrow T5 to Bracknell last year sampling a e400 Trident just before they got replaced with more of these 23 & 73 plate e400ev city buses.
Nice one mate, I am looking at doing an Adventures By Bus to my holiday in Telford. It does take a long time at exactly 8 hours and 15 minutes so I don't know if it is worth doing, and thought you would as you did it from Wolverhampton. I do recommend trying Arriva Midlands North as they do have a few oddballs and some Optare Olympuses. I hope you get back down to Wolves or somewhere in the Black Country
That X10 video reminded me of when Transdev Yorkshire had the Red Express from Manchester to Leeds, it stopped at Chadderton, came off the motorway for connecting bus services to I think Halifax and Huddersfield, then back on the motorway nonstop to Leeds. Was a shame when they withdrew that, yet they've still got the part from Leeds to York.
This isn't that good. I had this on the Lizard route a while back and it was full flat kickdown redlining. Unfortunately he pulled straight off so no video. This thing used to have it's fan stuck on though so this is an improvement.
I filmed your bus without knowing it was you! Do you have a tiktok account so I can mention you when I post it? If you don’t mind me mentioning you that is
Great video. I have taken the 002 from London to Leeds and it went via Peterborough and it was a levante. The new yutongs that McGill’s have are a bit tight legroom wise. The megabus M20 also has the new Volvo s
It's amazing where Flixbus can take you these days, especially given they've opened up plenty of new routes to the continent, heading to Brussels and Amsterdam as well as Paris. Not only that, but some of these international routes even start from Birmingham and Cambridge, not just from London. Given I have a daily Flixbus service from Preston departing at a perfect time to reach it with the Hotline 152 from near my house, which gets to London with a nice connection onto an overnight service to Paris, I got plenty of great ideas for Flixbus endurance challenges. There is an overnight service from Brussels to Zurich that I'm particularly interested in.
@@s125ish okay that's even better than I expected! I've heard of the Manchester to Paris route but didn't realise Leeds to Amsterdam was a thing. Maybe the latter is something Alex or Jake (Steady94) could try someday.
@s125ish true, but who doesn't love a challenge? I guess you see a lot more on the way with the coach, and the prices don't increase as exponentially at short notice.
Got another ride out to the Little Castle on 22628 today for a pub meal & pint. Missed it on the return journey as it was the journey 20min before I'd got it down as, it was running 7min late and I missed it so picked another back of rubbish from the motorway junction area in Duckmanton before catching an ADL E300 back to Chesterfield on the 1.
I didn't know you knew how to drive lol, also I can't remember if I said this before but I'd highly recommend doing a bus video in Exeter this year if you ever get the chance to do it as it's a great place to film buses at but I understand if you can't though since you live in Yorkshire of course.
the Leyland National is B155 DHL which was new to Chesterfield Transport which later became Stagecoach East Midland before Chesterfield got split from the East Midland operation
I got 22628 (Chesterfield's last MAN) when I went to the Little Castle at Duckmanton on Monday this week, on its regular 1 / 1A route. Glad to get on it!
Does your trip down make you want to sample some proper metrobus buses as I'm sure you saw a couple on your endeavours throughout the day, as they do operate some (in my opinion) quite Interesting buses and routes
I was lucky enough to sample some Metrobus kit the day prior, no RU-vid review vid as per due to time constraints but some decent backseat vids on their way!
I was onboard the Tempo with you driving!!! I boarded with my friend at a rural stop in between East Grinstead and Lingfield and got off in Lingfield!!
@@AndMoreCentral I did, you drove nicely and the bus itself was good. A nice spot of nostalgia for me as those OTs were some of my local buses on the H37 when I lived in London!
You got my arm in at 8:42 😂 - It was good to see you as well as driving me on the Tempo from East Grinstead. Overall it was pretty well run apart from the end
