Bellamy and Clarke’s “relationship” is built on trust and friendship, the reason why I ship them so much. The casts may not see it or want it, but the whole BellArke thing screams “platonic relationship” to me.

To be honest besides CLEXA being the best ship ever, it was refreshing to see that two Main leads with the opposite gender don't always have to be in a relationship romantically but have a really strong friendship. Male & Female best friends do exist and can care deeply for each other without being romantically involved.
The difference between when they were airing the show and all the interviews after the show are so interesting… makes you think how much was just personal opinion at the time they were asked and how much was the cw sniper/jroth

Lemmesay this now..... "Ship" doesn't mean they need to be end up together also they have chemistry doesn't mean they're both liking each other romantically... I also ship Clarke and Bellamy in season1 but after Lexa appear I can't ship anyone else with Clarke, it's clear that how much she loves Lexa and not only while she alive, even after she's death we can see how much she meant to her and loves her . Clarke really loves Bellamy other than all of her friends he's important to her but she don't look at him like romantically, From Bellamy I don't know maybe in the past few season he maybe had fellings for Clarke.But again, after Echo and Bellamy things , I also think that Bellamy really loves Echo now.
I honestly think that most of this shipping comes from the books. Because I started reading the beginning of the first book and they were quick to get in a relationship at least I think, all I know is they kiss. I would assume that there relationship grew from there in the books but Idk.
I love the BellArke ship but to be honest, I like the character's connection more. Like they have a chemistry, not more on the romantic side, more like a bestfriend type, idk, it's hard to explain lmao.
