Hi, welcome to the Glossop wild camping channel! I have always loved the countryside of Derbyshire where I live and have enjoyed many a walk alone and with family or friends over the years. After being inspired by a friend of mine who enjoys wild-camping, plus some added inspiration from other RU-vidrs (who are a lot more experienced than I am!) I decided to give it a go. Join me on my journey as I enjoy this amazing new interest and gain experience through trial and error, you will see some of the beauty of this gorgeous part of the country and hopefully enjoy some of my random banter along the way!

Interesting spot, even if a bit bleak, but then, that's what you signed up for after all! ..that farmer is a wrong'un..I've heard all kinds of rumours, and he stopped me on my eMTB tracks before. I suspect he has no right to shut down a right of access, but i wouldn't go near that place even if he hadn't tbh.

Enjoyed that very much, the typical day of hiking to a destination and having to retrace ones steps because either a Private path/fence or unpassable body of fast flowing water. Enjoyed the drone footage and the wild camp. Very much enjoyed listening to an elucidation involving your faith and how you came to it! I know the Bible very well as I studied it, as I have the Quran in regards to my faith as well as work over the years! I totally agree with one major point you stated; there are religious people who go through the motions of being religious (an outward show) and those that actually believe that one has to make changes in ones personal life to be acceptable to our God. Believing that all you have to do is believe in God, and as for sin, do as you like and you will be forgiven, is absolute toss and stupidity at the highest level. We as humans cannot dictate to God how we should worship him and what is acceptable to him. No we have to learn the standards, laws and principles of what is acceptable to him and follow them. As for Cults, they always try to isolate family and friends from your association at an early stage, as it is easier to brain wash you and of course the control factor. They want you to believe they are the family and only family you should be loyal to and trust. This cult principle of control is also in street gangs, where they are your family and you have to prove your loyalty by committing crime. Thankyou for sharing a little light into part of your life!

Great Job. Curious about how the farmer will react to the remaining stone lying at the base? no Problem - clean it up himself or question why you did not build it as thick as the original. I love this tutorial and thanks
@Glossopwildcamp
@Glossopwildcamp 12 дней назад
Thanks for the comment. The farmers fields are littered with loose stones around the margins from previous repairs and some walls that have started to fall due to livestock damage, so these leftovers will be used for future repairs as required. I have found that I rarely have the right amount of stone as it is impossible to build the wall exactly the way it was before it fell.

Great vid! It tends to get noisy there in the 5am time. I'd camped at Kinder Low and loads were load and passing by. I asked how come you're all up so early hiking, they had left Edale at 3am to get ahead of the weather heading to Crowden on the Pennine way. Woolpacks would have been better, next time. Such a shame that you didn’t get enough sleep but I guess that’s the way it is on occasion. I’ve been looking at Tunstall Farm House on rightmove, what a location but sadly considerably beyond my budget! I absolutely love Kinder Scout and still have parts to explore and Cloughs to scramble after many Peak District visits in the past 29 years. Kinder Low-end is pretty hard going, I find descending it hard on my knees, that’s for sure. There is a path off to the left not far from the drystone wall, it’s very indistinct initially but becomes clear after a short distance. It offers a longer but less steep route up that side of Kinder. If you like a scramble, I heartily recommend Crowden Clough on the Southern side, it’s a bit more exciting than Grindsbrook (although taking the right hand fork near the top of Grindsbrook provides some meaningful scrambling), I also highly recommend Nether Red Brook on the Northern Edge, we just walked past Ashop Head along the base of the Northern Edge until we got there. It was fun. Blackden Brook is next on the list, or maybe “the Cloughs” near Jacobs Ladder. Glad you had an enjoyable walk back to Bowden Bridge. I’’m back in Hayfield in four weeks time and can’t wait!

@@Glossopwildcamp You are welcome! Whilst it comes to mind, one of the most beautiful views is found at Crow Stones and Crow Stones Edge, on the Howden Moors at the top end of the Derwent Valley. The view is epic over the Howden and Derwent reservoirs. Andrew Beavers did a wild camp video up that way which shows it very well. There is a spring nearby for a water source too. The Crow Stones are quite large and mostly climable too! It’s pretty remote and not too many people go there. I either park at Kings Tree near Slippery Stones near the Howden Reservoir or tackle the journey from Langsett Reservoir. Some paths are fairly indistinct across the Howden Moors but the most you explore it, the easier it becomes. There are some plane wrecks tucked away up there too. I expect you are aware of Derwent Edge too, a few miles along past Howden Edge, that is full of great views and rock formations! Another great place for a wild camp!

Thanks mate, glad you're still watching 🙂 Whiskey is expensive stuff so can't review every video, sadly. I think I'm going to get a taster pack, that will keep us going for the next few camps.

Nice camping guys 👍🏻 your spot on re: the dodgy goings on in the world, "solar geo engineering" and "stratospheric aerosol scattering" is happening, it's even being studied by Leeds university and harvard university, yet some people still won't believe it even when you show them the evidence. More fool them. Stay free ✊🏻

Thanks matey. Yeah, I thought you would appreciate our discussion, I know a lot more about these things but am trying to keep it fairly sanitised so as not to alienate my viewers! To be fair, there are quite a few comments on here from people who concur with our thoughts!

Great video, and absolutely nice hiking weather. Not too hot and not too cold! Beautiful scenery! As usual the banter was there as it always is with Tim 🤣🤣🤣🤣. You must have been up early to upload this one 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Keep em coming!

Thank you, most gracious sir! We were very blessed with the weather in the end, it did rain all night, but I find that makes it cozier and actually helps me sleep. Atb. Bri.
