Started as an opportunity to post some videos taken at various competitions in track&field this channel developed into something like a sports and adventure blog. Besides some projects done at university (Cultural Misunderstandings) this channel shows some free time activities captured and edited all by myself to develop some skills and share them with everyone who's interested:)
Why does the audio keep getting cut off? Ultimately, not having audio at crucial moments made the video ineffective in explaining cultural misunderstandings.
11:11 a muslim can eat pork if he is travelling to different lands, or he is hungry and there is no other food. it is a greater ofront to allah to harm the body he gave you by not eating than it is to eat haram foods. therefore in this situation for the lesser evil that pork is no longer haram. the germans are corect and the turk should study the hadith, and koran more carefully if he is to call himself a muslim before allah.
indians are punctual so i assume she was also waiting for him before the car. turks are arrogant and expect everyone to pander to them. i would not be entering into any contract with that guy
Thank you for sharing, I read through the comments about why the sound went out. RU-vid does that sometimes. I will subscribe :) It looks like you all had fun!
I'd like the way they use gestures and actions but it really difficult to understand without no sound. I just watching for purposive communication and seem I can't understand what they are talking.
this is why turks are disliked by both the musilm world and the west. freedom of religion is fine but dont start cherry picking what laws apply to you.
I once brought a pork Italian sausage lasagne to a company potluck; our company owner, manager, and tech department manager were all Jewish... they ate it, love it, and didn't know. However, I didn't serve it with the intentions of violating their religious beliefs; it was unintentional. I believe God will forgive them for eating pork, even Allah would have a laugh... nothing to pop a top over -- relax and just enjoy it -- there are worse things in life you could be eating. ; )

Ah, the punctuality issue is prominent, but I would accept leeway and not be upset due to plane jet-lag and their being from afar. I don't think the clothes are a huge issue as long as they are modest. I was surprised the Turkish gentleman shook the ladies hand, as often time Muslim men will not do that. The food choice was a definite error as even the Indian lady could have been a vegetarian. It probably would have been best to have them select from a choice of menu items. Good video and good reminder to remember the details!
During the calls, I think it would have been more interesting to go back and forth between the four sides of the calls, or do a full one for the women's calls. I got an idea of the Turkish guy and German guys personalities, but not of the Indian and German women's. I was disappointed and surprised that it was cut short, and don't understand why.
Thx for the feedback! It's been a while since i worked on this project. The problem was that the whole video was a university project and shouldn't be longer than 20 minutes. We weren't completely free in this work and couldn't go into every detail.
RU-vid forced me to delete the soundtracks due to some legal requirements. The scene starting at 3:19 is a muted scene in which a classical song was playing. Unfortunately it looks like something is wrong with the video.
Es ist Emma Mai - bluetenstaubromanze (Nils Ohrmann remix) ;) Habe selbst 3 Tage gesucht :D soundcloud.com/nils-ohrmann/emma-mai-freunde-bluetenstaubromanze-nils-ohrmann-rmx-snippet
What is the name of the song that plays as the customer arrives at the restaurant. I seem to remember another version years ago sang in english by a woman.

You know I often wonder when I hear about places that don't eat pork or beef..Well if THEY choose not to eat them that's fine..People eat what they like..But I wonder..If you're in one of these places and just happen to have a meat they don't eat with you and are seen eating it..(like say eating pork..Like ham etc. in Israel) Does their local police actually arrest you and haul you to jail or does the people just shun you and say you'll go to hell for it? (which you can ignore as your religion is diffrent). I wonder.
Most of the time, forbidden food in a religion or culture is not served or cooked in the first place. Except for some people who are more adventurous and less committed to that culture, they could still do it and eat it. As for police, they don't interfere at all because their job is within the law and religion is usually outside the powers of the law. However, if a certain country is very dedicated in their religion and made the rules of their religion as part of their laws, I believe the police will take action.
