What is that last chord position in the main riff? I looks like it should be a D chord but his fingering is like an E position. I know the guitar is tuned to drop D but I'm not getting it. Can someone help? Thanks

I enjoyed watching you move that pick from your palm to fingers. Great playing! I’m sure Brian Setzer would be impressed.

I bought this guitar because my mom loved the red sparkle finish. It's a really great guitar, and I use it for drop D tuning songs from Tom Morello

The 50's has a LONG NECK TENON.......Not so with the 60's. Makes a hell of a difference.

I've heard reviews with both the toaster pickups and the newer pickups. I hear almost no difference. I do hear that the newer pickups are brighter. But if you want the darker sound, turn on more bass. Why go through all that expense to reprofit? Unless it's just the aesthetic look you're after? Personally, I'm just glad to have a Rick 330 12. Don't have a bunch of money to convert all my guitars. Nor gigs to justify. Those days are gone.

Hmm. When I swapped my hi gains for toasters I felt a world of a difference and it was actually brighter and way more jangly than the hi gains. Don’t get me wrong I love the hi gains but there was a night and day difference for my ears personally.

It would be a sin if that guitar neck ever got broken beyond repair. That's what i would call character. Plus it's seriously cool!

I recently purchased the 60s because the neck was way more comfortable for me, but listening to this comparison I can definitely hear a tad more clarity with the 50s, which I would’ve preferred. Oh well, I’m still 100% happy with mine.

Great video. I have a Britt set for my Pod Go. I think the IR’s make a difference. Create your own patch with a cabinet and then try the IR’s. I think you’ll like the difference.

I know this is an old post but.. has anyone considered the best choice when having wire tapped humbuckers? Seems like there should be one way that brings a better "strat" sound than the other. I would love to hear opinions about that scenario. Anyone?

Your tabs match the key (and your playing) but the chords are wrong. They’re a step down. Should be key of E.

The pickups on both these models are not the same, which is why they don't sound the same either. The 50s LP comes with Epiphone Probucker 1 in the neck and Probucker 2 in the bridge while the 60s LP comes with Probucker 2 in the neck and Probucker 3 in the bridge. The Probucker pickups (which are basically Epiphone versions of the Gibson Burstbucker pickups) get progressively hotter as the model number increases - just like their Gibson counterparts.
