@@nygelmiller5293 opinions vary :-)…….the gent who brought the car loved the wheels as they were and I thought they looked very smart ‘as is’…….but I think dark grey might look great too.
@bradleyjamesclassics thanks for replying! (About the colour of the wheels on the Wolseley!) I also think people should , to an extent, update their Morris Minors, by painting THEIR wheels ordinary silver. After all, that DOES go well with the CHROME! I noticed during a "I drive a classic" video of a Morris Minor meeting, that on the subject of COLOUR some people have done what I myself would do. And that is deal with the nasty, dated cream, this time on the grille bars! THOSE , in my opinion would look nice in silver, with silver wheels! Updated, but without losing the character! But, I meant that owners in the video HADN'T made the grille bars actually SILVER as such - most opted to have the same colour as the bodywork! SUBTLE! And a few opt for RED grille bars (looks good on a black car!) And how about chroming the bars?
Can I make a question? Between the back seats and the back cristal, is there any space to put the bags stand up??? Thank you. Because if not, bacause is vey close to motor, or something like this, we can separe with a metal wall to you can put the travel 💼 stand up. I MISS YOUUUUUU!!!!
Beautiful exemple!!! The good colour...very, very good style...for me the front seats with headrest and in back too, but mobil maybe...what do you think?? An embrace to you, with the hope to can get out from Spain in few days....😢
I would agree with you if you were correct. Surely you must feel a little embarrassed making these sorts of statements? Sometimes it’s much better to say nothing, than say something thats wrong? This car didn’t have any corners cut whatsoever, it was owned by a true gentleman who is no longer with us. He would have laughed at your attempt to rubbish his car too.
It was this look that sealed their fate unfortunately. If they had gone with better looking headlights they might have got away with it.They were a brilliant car though and its such a shame there not been made today.
Nice example. My TD6 Vogue is on a 2002 plate, I’ve had it 12 years & spent roughly £12,000 on non-routine maintenance (inc new gearbox, turbo, front suspension, wiper motor, fuel pump, steering angle sensor, discs all round plus 2 callipers, handbrake assembly.) Just watch out for the gearbox, don’t believe the sealed for life claims, the gearbox should be drained, flushed & oil changed every 50k (previous owner of mine clearly didn’t bother.) Mine also gets steam cleaned underneath & has full KROWN anti rust treatment every year in springtime. Clip on my channel 👍
Strangely my late mother nearly bought an absolutely identical 69 on an H plate traveller in summer 1974. She bought a Morris 1300 instead! Pretty car though.
Worst car I ever owned in London..second hand....needed new engine at 45,000 miles..put the key in the door.. barrel came out on end of key..heater was a faint warm waft..swopped it for a mini..huge upgrade..
I bought a brand new one back in the 80’s. It was Yellow & as a young fledgling Businessman, everyone thought I must be making a fortune. Hand Painted Sign Writing on the side. It got washed once a week. I loved that van!!
Hi James It was as lovely as the video shows when we sold her. It came from an elderly gent who owned her since new….he had it maintained at the local Vauxhall and it was always garaged. It was sold to another elderly gent who loved it….we had a new clutch fitted when we sold her. Enjoy her….she was a lovely car and looked great!
Still in fairly good condition even now. Starts first time and drives very nicely. Not in perfect condition as it was standing outside for at least 7 months before I bought it, but still pretty good. Needs a bit of work to become perfect condition again but nothing majorly wrong with it. Clocked over 82,000 miles on the odometer the other day and still going strong
