My name is Amanda Shivers, I am a first grade teacher. I found that many times I wanted to read my class a story and I did not have it available in my classroom. I decided I would then create my own online library of books for other teachers who may also need a read aloud but did not have the book they wanted. My students have always loved watching books being read online. These books are not only great in the classroom, but great for moms who want to expose their children to books read aloud without the resources to have as many books in hand. My kindergarten teacher used to read this a lot. One day, when we were acting up, she threatened to get Mrs. Swamp; we all thought she was real! I can still remember how terrified we all were🤣🤣
Me and my friend read this book in our school libary, we laughed forever! It was he funniest book we ever read, shout out to the amazing lovely writer!
As a 2003 kid, I remember my teacher reading this book in Kindergarten or First Grade. It was utterly terrifying to me. I had nightmares of this book. Why would the author let such nightmare-fuel illustrations, be shown to little kids? And why did it get so popular?
My mom used to read me this book when I was little, but it's out of print and I hadn't seen it in such a long time that I almost thought I imagined it.
