HELLO WILD ONES! My name is Justin, and I love DIY. I'm a big believer that if you can build it yourself - you should. You'll get exactly what you want for your exact needs, and you'll feel that sense of accomplishment.

Follow along with me as I make upgrades to my tiny house, build furniture, and maybe even a little cosplay, who knows.

I've never left a comment to one of these before. I was inspired by this video and made a beautiful stand based on your design. I would love to share a picture of it with you but I don't know how to get that done. Can you give me a hand with that?

It would be great to upgrade this absent the background music, much easier to hear you and understand what you are saying w/o the distraction , thank you !

Nice. I'm making a mirror frame out of old barnwood, so no staining required. Thanks for the pocket hole idea. I wasn't sure how to join and was just going to pin nail it all to the wall like my barnwood trim is. Now I just have to find someone with one that I can borrow. Cool that you are also in the Calgary area and like good music ;)

Nicely done! I'm gonna build one for a Toronto Maple Leafs (don't laugh) Championship Belt that I just ordered. Hopefully it turns out almost as nice as yours did!

anybody know - for an 8' wide (20x8), how much of the interior space is wall to wall? I've heard some builders us 2x4s to frame, but others use 2x6s and yet others use a metal frame (mainly those who travel in their tiny house). I'd like to plan the interior (to give me incentive), but need to know how much room is really left inside after the frame is covered with wood or plywood or drywall.

Lots of good advice here, but I question that saw-tooth picture hanger gizmo that you're expecting to support the weight of the mirror and frame long term. It's extra problematic because if/when it fails, most likely the mirror breaks when it hits the floor.

I used screws instead of the included nails and so far its still hanging there!

You guys should put a list of tools down in the bottom so people can buy them. Might even be able to start linking to companies that give you a kickback. But it would help the new to DYI people get the necessary things for the job.
