Just left Lowes with a clearance haul! I saw the Banana Crème plants you referenced but they were all fried. I did get a beautiful hibiscus tree for $10! I love watching your videos. You’re a huge inspiration to me with my garden!
Here in Charlotte, I feel like it's been slim pickings this year in the clearance sections. I frequent 3 different Lowe's, 2 Home Depots, and 2 Pike's. Plus there is a local nursery over in Dallas that I go to. I love the banana cream II. That being said, I've given up on growing it. Planted 3 last year and only one came back. I replaced the two that died with one and even with watering, it died. So, I've decided that was it with the banana cream for me.
Good Morning Jess! 😊Enjoying your clearance plant shopping! Thanks for taking us along. ❤ Regarding the Blue Star Junipers, is it riskier to get evergreens that are in poor condition?
Good morning! Depends on what you mean by risk? 🤔 All distressed plants are at risk of not surviving if not given the proper growing conditions. So for evergreens it's the same make sure they get plenty of water & proper lighting & drainage to recover & thrive!💚 I typically just cut out the brown & let the plant regrow. Keep in mind evergreens require more patience they are slow to recover from stress😉💚 hope this helps!! Happy clearance hunting 💕
Beautiful garden Jess! Love your Little Lime Hydrangea hedge! I have a gorgeous Bobo hydrangea but after a heavy rain…it’s now floppy. 🙁 What kind of staking did you use for your Little Lime hedge to help with flopping after rain?
Wow, your neighbors must adore the constant gorgeous show of color in your front yard! I bet they all slow down and gaze every time they pass by! It looks absolutely glorious!
I'd like to "personally" thank you for your tutorials on Limelight Hydrangeas! As with yours; mine are looking their best this season! Btw - You can add a manifold/spigot splitter to add a zone for your porch. Have you looked into the wifi drip timers?
@KreatyveGardenista I use Orbit wifi smart timers. They tie into the weather channel and will put my watering system in automatic rain delay when rain is expected. The app has a graphical interface that shows how much watering for the day, month, and year. It's a little awkward to get set up. Once I got it set up, it was literally set it and forget it. I have 4 zones. I plan on doing a video on my setup soon. HTH!!!
Hi Jess! Your garden HAS to be the talk of the neighborhood! Will the coleus perform as perennials for you in 8A? I love them but I'm zone 7. This video actually made me NEED them😂.
Thanks so much! I do get a lot of visitors lol. The coleus are annuals so I only planted them to fill in space for this season. I'll pull them out in November so the hydrangeas will have room to grow💚
