i have been looking ay the the Haley heavy rig for a while but im not in the usa so its goes from an rather expensive option to a quite expensive hard to find option.. but i found one of these in a local shop and they have lots on there website including multcam and a blue with orang stitching version.
Hey man, idk if you have time to answer this or anything but I’m looking into getting one of these and wanna know if you think a NAR solo ifak would fit in the dangler pouch? It’s like 7 in by 4.5 in
I have no way of testing that. The pouches seem designed for the standard mag size. The middle pouches come out. You could replace them with ones that do.
@@bwilson8520 Hey man this is the most recent comment I could find in the thread, I'm looking to get this chest rig but I have a really big chest 50 inches to be exact and that's without a shirt or combat top and I am afraid it won't fit me at least the back strap that is. could you let me know if the strap would be able to accommodate my size? that would be much appreciated!
Says restriction of drawing stops him from carrying a firearm in his cheat rig....but draws magazine from his chest rig.....smdh some people have the dumbest excuses
It’s easier to draw a handgun from your waist. If you were to put a handgun in said area it would be difficult to draw due to its location/orientation etc. However magazines have been drawn from this location for decades and quite comfortable. If you wear a handgun on your chest, have it oriented so that it is effective to get out. This rig will not allow that.
After months of reading up on just about every chest rig on the market and almost pulling the trigger on a Spiritus Mk4 I too landed on this Helikon Tex MR. For the money there just isn't anything on the market that can touch it. Got mine in the RAL 7013 color for only $110. The only complaint I have and that I've seen others have is that it isn't very modular into plate carriers. Well, it can be pretty easily if you have someone sew some quality velcro to the rear of the rig and there are great plate carriers out there that this rig can clip into.

@@JamesW7723 I don't know about american sizes but I am pretty big 194cm 98 kg muscular and it fits me I don't have my current chest size but I might mesaure it and add in edit later
Just wanna share my story with flyye, I bought a flyye 3D bag about 7-8 years ago. I took this bag hiking for months in the wild, travel, go to college as a backpack, even brought it to us. Get married and immigrated in US, this bag still be with me as a to go bag(only one molley attachment plastic part broke in the last 7 years). anyway you can always trust flyye, at least for me.
All of my TQ are in proper holders now. I have identified the monstrosity TQ placement, form, and securement. It has been corrected shortly after video published.
@13:30, those plastic keepers are to be used with the optional “waist” strap that would replace the cummerbund should you want an even lower profile set up.
I have both the MODI in 500D cordura and the 1000D cordura model and while they are both identical in appearance, the 1000 cordua is a bit heavier. The 500D MODI model is great for air soft or running soft body armor panels and the 1000D model would be better to run steel plates, or thick hard polyethylene plates because of the more heavier construction. The sizing is more for what size plate you would be using and concerning plates the steel plate ( Level 3 )and soft body armor ( Level 3A )are thinner ( roughly 1/4 inch ) vs the UHMWP hard polyethylene plates which are rated Level 3 or 4 are thicker at 3/4 to over 1 inch, depending on which type. I am very happy with both my FLYYE plate carriers and am running with the large for my 10x12 soft & hard polyethylene plates , rated Level 3A and the x-large for my 11x14 hard polyethylene plates, Level 3.This is a excellent video explaining the differences in body armor and types , ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-v61L5Q_fhKA.html. Hope this helps.
Thanks for pointing out my unscripted commentary flaw. All reviews at the time of this one was in another language but I thought they may have been out of Australia.
Im thinking of getting this carrier but am worried the stitching wouldnt hold up long term, can you speak to how the stitching looks/has held up on yours? Also Id reccomend picking up a spall bag for your plates or at least your front plate. Hadnt seen a video on anyone testing base coat steel until recently but looks like it would be a bad time ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ofxd1sVD1k0.html
@@TRDGE Hope you have gotten yours by now but I'll answer anyway. I've used mine since August 2020 and I'm very pleased. I'm mechinf and have fought quite a lot with this vest using 2x10lbs Beaverfit crossfit plates in them (Change to ballistic plates when the time comes) There's some wear and tear but I've not had a failure yet, been dragged quite a few times by the vest and it has held up. I'm 85kg/183cm and a medium vest fits me fine.
Really odd and specific question...what is the spacing between the side buckles? A company called MissionSpec makes a product that basically expands a micro rig like spiritus systems wings or similar but instead of hook and loop it uses the buckles. L
as an Australian... I don't believe we are polish haha good review though I have been tossing up between this rig and a few others for ages now think I've made my choice
You can attach Velcro to the back of this. Yes it does have Swift clips in five locations but not the sixth. If you are handy with a sewing machine you could fix that too.
@@javiermatias2115 I'm 6'3 and 215lbs. It would work if I had 11x14 plates but I have ceramic 10x12 plates so I need a large. Order your carrier to fit the size of plates you have or your gonna get.
After looking at all the same brands you said in this video I was in the same boat and it kind of just came up after contemplating spending slot of money and or buying a Chinese knockoff. I went with this because it’s what I need and also their products are top notch. I’ve bought a lot of their bushcraft line so i’m stoked you try this out .
I was scared In the beginning man. I was thinking. “This can’t be real.” Then you got the brick out and I said “thank the good lord”. Great skit, man. 😂.
