Tips and demonstrations for Lexus CT200H, Lever Espresso Machines, Home Repairs and more. :)
Always consult your owner's manual, technical service manual or dealer for information on how to operate your Lexus CT200h, Espresso machines or any equipment you might be operating or repairing.
Always consult a qualified professional for any repairs. Do not attempt repairs on your CT200h, Espresso Machine or other equipment if you are not qualified. Follow all regulations and laws.
Hi Leonardo. I didn't have to change or rebuild the U-tube. It was in good condition. I ended up opening the boiler and redoing everything. I used typical fiber/paper gaskets on the sealing surface of the U-tube inside the boiler. I happened to have a couple of perfectly fitting copper crush washers, so decided to throw them on outside the boiler between the nut and the boiler endplate. Everything was working perfectly. I have a good number of videos during the restore, but just haven't taken time to edit and upload. Do you have a Brugnetti Lever or other vintage lever espresso machine?
@@Roger__WayneHi Roger, thanks for your details!!. I have a few home lever machines and a Brugnetti that now I'm restoring. Mine came with U-tube stripped out and a non working heating element that already repair. The water was filling into the group directly the water line, guess I will be building a custom U-tube. So you still use it o ended to be too much for home use for you. Thanks!
@@yacomontiI use it in the winter time usually. It does use more energy for sure, but it's great to fire up and use the spring lever and powerful steaming capabilities! It might be possible to make a u-tube. Search for Lapera Espresso machine blog. He made his own U-tubes early on in the development gf his Brugnetti clone. Good luck!
Great video. Thanks for posting. I have a 5430A-700 & 5430B-700 stove. Looks like the "A" has (1) flat o ring, per valve, like in your video and the "B" has (2) round o rings per valve that are different sizes. Would be great if Coleman specified the exact o ring size and type in the owners manuals.
Thank for this video, I accidentally found this feature today after buying a used CT and thought the ABS or a sensor was bad or something. This was very helpful!
Thanks Nathan! I'm still enjoying my CT. Only about 60,000 miles on my 2011. Reading info on people having head gasket problems on some years, so might try to do some preventive maintenance to try and minimize the chance of a problem down the road. Hope to get some more videos done.
Hi Zack. Look for "dash - 10" O-rings at your hardware store. If you want Viton might be more difficult to find. Send me an email to RogerWR gmail. I might be able to help.
I just checked for a part number on the back of mine. It has a part number of PT208-76112. I noted on other recent items they have supersession part numbers. Like this one would be PT20876112. I just saw on Ebay something for sale with part number PT208-76111-25. It looks like it might be generally the same. But don't see it completely. www.ebay.com/p/14018610057 Check it out! :)
Great video. I'm interested in purchasing a ct200h in the UK. Question for you.....how does a mountain bike fit in the boot with front wheel off? Does it fit easy or is it a bit of a hassle? Regards
It will fit pretty easily when the seats are folded down. I've hauled mine a few times that way. I mounted a Curt hitch receiver on my CT200h and have a bike rack that can be mounted on that, but never actually used it yet! 😅 I love that the seat backs fold flat when down. I've slept back there a few times with a camping pad. I place a box level to the surface behind the passenger seat to extend. A bit tight, but positioned at an angle will work depending on one's height.
Brilliant. Thanks for the reply....I quite like the Honda jazz too...just for their system for lifting the rear seats and creating space. Bike could go through rear door nicely but a lexus is a bit more executive and special....we'll see how the prices go
Thank you for testing your capacity! Are you still getting 48mpg? I just bought a used with 80k and only getting 35mpg, I replaced the battery, and got 16inch wheels thought it would help now I get about 37mpg at the most . Driving in the city .
Yes I can still get about 45-46 mpg but this is only on the highways on long trips and using gentle driving on relatively flat highways. In town I'm sure I get about 37- 38 also. I've had the CT for more than 11 years and haven't spent one extra $, for anything other than oil changes and filters. Has been a great car. Also if you watch in the video it indicated 48, but actual was 46mpg.
I've just purchased my first Lexus here in NZ, loving the hybrid especially with our fuel being over $12 per gal at the moment, your video saved me breaking the dome light housing thank you.. ;-)
I am having issues, i have like 1500 songs on my lacie, before it was able to play all now I have folders which i never created, and will only play the same 255 songs can you help with this?
Wish I could help, but really not sure what is happening with your device. No easy way to reproduce what is going on with it. Possibly transfer all the songs off that device, reformat it and restore the songs like they were before.
I discovered this by accident, but what i found strange is that when you’re not on a hill it will disengage itself after a few seconds with a beep noise
Cup holder is fine I agree. It's the rattling that was troublesome when I first got this car 9 years ago. I put some black closed cell foam in the bottom and perfectly happy ever since. :)
Hmm.. My USA model doesn't have Japanese for an option. I saw for the Language on the Multi-information display, it can be changed. I don't even have that option my CT though. Check out the owners manual for your location and year. Good luck. :)
thanks to thiis video now i know why my Toyota auris on hill blinked with that light, toyota has the same engline and hybrid system what that lexus. :)
Enjoying your CT? I still love mine and not a single problem in 9 years. Well, the center console box door latch sticks a little. :) They did say they would fix it years ago, but didn't get it in to a Lexus dealer yet. Too late I think! ;)
Push the left side of the tray to the right toward the passenger door as you are lifting up. Give it a little pop with your left hand maybe while lifting with your right hand.
Yup it sure does for a small length of time. Listen to my words and look at where my hands and tools are before, during after doing something. Hopefully you could get the idea. :)
Sorry jiggle probably was the wrong word. :) Also need to use quite a bit of pulling strength as you are jiggling. Added some comments in the info section. Hope you got your light assembly pulled out!
Do you still have your CT? I recently got one and am really enjoying it. I’m pretty sure my Sirius antenna is bad and was curious if that’s something you have had to change. My understanding is that you get to it by removing the light and headliner a bit.
Hi Josh. Just saw some of these comments. I still have my CT! Can't say I've had one real problem with it yet! I guess the only thing I remember is the small arm rest hinged cover latch sticks. They actually had a service bulletin for that and I believe they were fixing them for free. As to the Sirius antenna I didn't use mine, so haven't investigated it much. I might look at that more if I have a chance.. Thanks..
If the lid isn’t capped tightly, I’ve pulled the lid off the coffee cup. At least the cup holder doesn’t have any holes in the bottom so it’s contained and easy to clean.
This filter cover and the replaceable dash panels are responsible for most of the squeaks in the cabin. Apply felt tape liberally everywhere and you will hear less plastic creaks
After 9 years I still don't have to many squeaks. Usually for me I get some rattling from the Electronics Device holder. I don't even use it much, so should remove it. :)
Thank you! The corner of my dome light was loose and vibrating and apparently in the past someone had broken one of the two clips you pointed out and reseating it makes it sit flush now. Thank you so much!!
