One World Trade Center is a much more iconic and elegant skyscraper than the Twin Towers. Its design is made up of eight triangles, it’s wonderful! Not to mention its security, which is much greater than that of the Twin Towers. One World Trade Center is a symbol of New York and the United States! Thank God the Twin Towers II proposed by Donald Trump were not built, it would be a real step backwards.

Just found out today that Trump was a huge contributor to try and get the twin towers rebuilt in the same complex with a memorial in the courtyard area called Twin Towers II and it’s definitely something he would do apparently he wanted it 5 stories taller just as a passive aggressive way of saying “f u”😂
I wish I could've seen them when they still existed. I was only 1 when they were destroyed, and it's crazy to think they only were around for 30 ears before that
Reading the comments, I don't think people understand that Trump is referring to an earlier design of WTC 1 that didn't get built. The design we have today is not the design Trump is referring to in this video, even though, Trump overall wanted to rebuilt the twin towers in a modern design and not just a single tower. The original WTC 1 design did looked dumb as fuck.
It really breaks my heart that this design wasn't chosen. Sadly, there are too many corrupt poloticians who dont care about the voice of the people. The new world trade center that exists today isn't what most people want. It's what the shady politicians wanted. It's what Larry Silverstein wanted. It's what Daniel Libeskind wanted. None of those men and political figureheads listened to what the people wanted. After 22 years almost, and what does NYC have? A site that's two-thirds built and is ugly in its design. Like always, the greedy poloticians have wasted tax payer money on this, and have screwed the people over with an unfinished rebuilt site, which has taken over two decades, which most of the public didn't want. Along with Silverstein, who profited from 9/11 like the snooty snake he is! The rebuild of ground zero, a national disgrace, and one of the biggest insults in American history.

No it isn't. It might be stronger but it's not a better design. The twin towers is iconic, and Trump was spot on. The site has struggled to attract tennants, and as a result the site remains unfinished. The new world trade center is a failed incomplete project. It's an insult, and the terrorists have won because of it.

He's not talking about the current design of WTC 1. There was an earlier design that what canned and that's on the one he's talking about. The early design of WTC 1 that Trump was referring to looked dumb as fuck.
A major reason for why I voted for Trump twice was his offer to personally rebuild the Twin Towers at his expense. Originally it cost 50 million dollars to build them. Trump knew it would cost more than twice that much to restore what was taken from us. Bus he was STILL willing to do it. What's there now is a statement to how low this nation has fallen. Trump's calling it "disgusting" is a supreme indulgence to what it really is--a symbol of cowardice, ugliness and worthlessness. It does NOT represent freedom.

I agree with President Trump....we should have rebuilt the twin towers the very same design as the original wtc buildings/and complex with each tower being 4 stories taller than the original towers....4 represting the 4 planes that were lost on 9/11 and those top 4 floors on each tower being a museum/memorial for what happened and for the victims of the attacks of that day.....that would have honored the victims and would have gave a big F you to all those in the world who wish harm on us.
