If I recall coyotes don't belong in michigan and they have taken over what was wolf territory. Coyotes moved in because the land is all open now due to farming. They are generally considered pest animals now.
Oregon is a fine example where fewer people have purchased hunting licenses but in particular big game tags as the state has continued to severely restrict the hunting seasons to a few short days. It makes much better sense for the serious hunter to pay more to hunt out of state where their chance of hunting success is much higher. The out of state hunts are much safer as hunting seasons are extended vs. every hunter forced into the woods for a compressed 4 day hunt. The net result is that Oregon Wildlife Management continues to lose funding..It is as though the hard lessons of the past mass deer die-off resultant from over restrictive hunting regulations, could never be repeated.
All anyone has to do is look at Africa where they have outlawed hunting. There’s literally no value placed on those animals and they get decimated by poachers.
The way I look at it, if and Once hunting is ever outlawed as a “sport” it still falls under critical for survival. I would do it and defend my right to do it as if someone was trying to outlaw me from getting access to air, water or shelter. Id fight like I was fighting for my life!
Is he saying that Game commission is a good thing??? They basically harass farmers and attempt warrantless searches. Fuck them. Dont give them a penny.
You understand after cold turkey stop to hunting some populations would rise like crazy then crash out from disease. It would be decades of insane fluctuations. We see these fluctuations already and they would be much bigger
Wild hogs in the south are out of control as it is, just as one example if we were no longer able to keep their population controlled I whole heartedly belive it would be akin to Australia's war of the emu lol
In 1920 the white tail deer population in the whole United States was less than 30k. Black bears were almost extinct, Elk was less than 10k, turkeys less than 50k. On ALL of the soil in America, think about that. We had completely hunted out millions of animals, with crappy guns and bows. The white tail deer success is still considered one of the great achievements of wildlife conservation in the world. And it’s all due to managed hunting and conservation.
Huh? Dude is talking about politicians cutting funding for hunting because they want to lower taxes. People like you don't even understand the government plays a vital role in conservation. So sad how being a conservative nowadays means blindly believing all government is bad.
I bought the ez hunter sit drag and use it as a saddle. The bridge didn’t feel safe enough for me, so I got some am-steel rope and made a new bridge for it. Very comfortable and I love it. Shot four deer out of it so far
I am not impressed with the direction they are going with hunting rights it is like the same people that want to take away your 2nd amendment rights are the same ones in charge of the Michigan DNR prices keep going up so much that the poor cannot even go out to hunt. Like they are trying to make it so only the rich can hunt ! Just to go hunting for a deer or two you have to buy a small game license to have the ability to buy a deer hunting license !
It's now a woke country we live in and it affects all areas of life, the time to act was 20 years ago but everyone kept their head in the sand year after year, it's too far gone now, welcome to the new America!
my Nana has a house on Sage Lake michigan and our neighbors have over 600 acres about two years ago, they took a picture on a trail cam of a mountain lion, Sage Lake is about a 30 minute drive from Tawas
These reels are great. I have a bunch of them that I bought in the cassette format that come with three spools. It's so great to be able to have multiple lines available for easy swapping. Their customer service is great too. One of the reel seats broke on me and I got a replacement no questions asked within a week... stocked in the USA.
This what happens to everything in your life when liberals(college educated to be liberals) are put in charge because of their useless college education in which they have been trained with no common sense or rational thinking and can’t even run their own lives productively! The future is dismal with them in charge!
EVERYTHING WE HUNT,IS DONE BY MANAGEMENT, AND 98% OF MICHIGANDERS UNDERSTAND THAT,NOT EVERYONE CAN SHOOT A BEAR,ITS DONE BY A LOTTERY DRAW,FOR WHAT,MANAGEMENT, THE NRC IS GOING TO RUIN THIS STATE UNLESS ALL SPORTSMAN STAND UP TO THIS FIGHT!! TTHANK YOU.
THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING, THEY START WITH THIS,AND BEFORE YOU KNOW IT,IT WILL ALL BE GONE! WE NEED TO FIGHT BACK PEOPLE, THEY'RE GOING TO KEEP GOING,WITH NO-LASH BACKS,WE NEED TO START VOTING PEOE INTO THESE POSITIONS!!
hahahaha...doom and gloom background music. Follow the science?...hahahah. MUCC just lost me with this bullshit..Slippery slope, crack in the damn..Seems you havent lived in this state long. Remember no Sunday hunting, because of the Jesus freaks we couldnt hunt on our one day off. Whens the dove season? yup Jesus..Phoneys.
I've used Okuma Airframe reel for years. Got it for $65 with two extra spools and pull the same type of fish my buddies do. It's light, reels easy, easy to adjust drag (which I do use from time to time) despite taking a few tumbles over the years. Is it as smooth as the more expensive stuff? Nah. But it's also not a bait caster, so the impact is negligible.
Awesome! Yea there's no argument that the premium reels are nicer and better quality but having the skill and knowledge to catch the fish is way more important than the reel
