That’s because the “washes” are water based, and then he going in after with more water on his sponge which is washing out everything he just painted. A water based paint or wash will be re activated again when you introduce water to it. You have to seal it otherwise you’re essentially just painting it on and then washing it all back off again. 🤦🏻♂️
What do I need to do, If I want to make custom figures on marvel legends? Do I need a technique before and after painting tips? Cuz I just have tried to paint on figure with model color paints and after drying the paint comes easily off. Did I did maybe something wrong? Or the paints are not good enough for plastic? I want to know!
It all depends on the prep work you do for your figures beforehand. Are you washing them with warm water and soap to remove the mold release agent left on the plastic? Are you lightly sanding them down to better help paint adherence? Are you priming them? Are you using $1 bottles of craft paint or are you using model acrylic paint? All of these factor into having good paint adhesion.
Bruhh I want this so bad but have no hand for customs if you ever sale or do commissions let me know I'd be on top of that PayPal cash app however ya wanna do it..
