@@smajin28 on vanilla versions of Ocarina of Time the vertical aiming axis is inverted. Up aims down and down aims up. You must not be playing on vanilla.
I wonder if it's possible to do the "New Game Plus" glitch from OoT3D (i.e. having Child Link start with an item on B) if you made sure to put the desired B item onto Temp B before reaching the Title Screen, then creating a new file? EDIT: Probably not; I haven't tested it, but I don't think the original OoT puts Temp B over the selected file's Current B whenever you save like it does in OoT3D, so you'd start off woth nothing on B as usual.
@@Lawliet02 check the rules for glitchless on speedrun.com/oot The general idea is that if a game mechanic was meant to be programmed into the game, it is not a glitch to use it, even if you use it to play against the intended play style. So your example of boosting off a bomb with damage is allowed because damage is meant to push you, even though they didn't expect you to use that fact to your advantage.
So, that also applies an interesting idea, since link normally has 20 total hearts(each heart is 4 health, for a total of 80 health pre double defense) what would that do to a character like Dark Link, who mirrors your health value if you could apply some kind of 4x "crit/weakspot" multiplier to the entity would the max damage remain 64 or would he also have certain weaknesses as well? given some are "scrapped/unused" types of damage/elements? it was an interesting video.
The giant's knife looks different from the biggoron sword. I want to point that out because when you show all the weapons at the start of the video, they are the same. The Giants knife has a blue bit on the bottom of the handle, the biggoron sword has a gold one. That's the key difference. Edit: I forgot, but the grip is also changed from a tan leathery color on the knife, to a white color on the biggoron sword.
@@samsonhaze6595 done that hundreds of times :) digging deep, reverse engineering, discovering new things, and learning EVERYTHING you can do in a game, exploits included, is the ultimate expression of adoration for it. Plus, your take that playing as intended is somehow harder or more skillful is very old and tired lol. Speedrunning and superplays have been around forever now!
I always reasoned that the hammer jump attacks didn't work because of the skulltula's dexterity. Long ass swings to try and get insects often have them moving around you. I don't know if that was my young brain telling a story to immerse in the game more or not but either way it would not affect the weapon stats in terms of the outcome in either case. So I'll stick with my silly thinking cos its fun.
How do you even understand this shit? People tell me I'm a genius all the time, but I'm not the college type of genius. What did you have to do to get a basic grasp of these words to the point where you understand them in less than a second when you hear them? You're talking about all kinds of shit I don't fucking grasp dude. I would love to get to that point, but I'm one of those people who is just sort of all on their own on everything because no other motherfukers in the world give a shit about me, and it makes me think that they never watch the movies "Falling Down", or "Idiocracy". Like I don't understand why normal people are still alive. I can see all the reasons why they shouldn't be, and they just keep on stupiding along. If I could trust people or institutions, I might do something to learn more about this. But if I tried doing it on my own, I would eventually just become apathetic and downtrodden and give up. Now that I think about it I'm kind of sick of life. How is college a scam? How do people even deserve to still be alive as a species considering that that's a mere possibility for us. I just want the human race to go extinct.

I just came here from a hint you gave at your speedrun from Summer Games Done Quick 24. This is mind bending! As an computer scientist and AI researcher myself (and also an OG OOT player from '98), I have to give you kudos for breaking down and delivering such a difficult nested problem so perfectly - a lot of rabbit holes avoided at the perfect layer of abstraction! I'll love this game for ever. It makes my life better knowing that there are people out there who (still) dedicated themself to it. Looking forward to new content from you. Just subbed 🗡️🛡️
So do you think the Wolfos enemy has multiple hitboxes so it can detect whether it is being attacked from behind? Maybe you hit both when you get that certain angle like you mentioned, and that triggers the double damage register Can't really think of another way an n64 programmer would have been able to create the wolfos backstab system
