BuildBlock is the most installer-friendly ICF on the market. Save yourself time, money, and hassle from beginning to end. BuildBlock is designed to create the strongest structure and create less waste and install faster than other blocks on the market.
Insulated concrete forms (ICFs) are hollow foam blocks which are stacked into the shape of the exterior walls of a building, reinforced with steel rebar, and then filled with concrete. Insulated concrete forms combine one of the finest insulating materials, Expanded Polystyrene (EPS), with one of the strongest structural building materials, steel reinforced concrete. The result is a wall system of unmatched comfort, energy efficiency, strength and noise reduction.
Check out buildblock.com for installation and technical resources or visit superfloorusa.com for information about the suspended concrete decking system.
Seen a video of this new way of people building houses of this osb polystyrene build homes 😂 I can't see how Florida is or any of the south is gonna use this actual properties
I’m not sure why you wouldn’t cut the channel prior to installing the box. The use of the impact driver and the impact bit being used as a hammer was painful to watch.
Its all completely pointless, the expanded polystyrene is impervious to water the concrete is impervious to water and the inner polystyrene as well. When do you see them putting this crap on the inside of a swimming pool?!
A regular framing crew will build those walls in a half day, I don’t think it is the right direction to compare that, I believe is more like the steps you’re getting with this system as, framing, insulation and finishing interior and exterior on just one step…
According to all my research, this should be illegal. This is a cost cutting measure that provides weak, unstable foundations that will cause massive expensive repairs.
The depth of your ICF to concrete have to be taken into consideration. The insulation on my walls are 2 1/2 to the concrete. His PVC boxes won't work. I had to go with INEXO. Don't go with anything else. No metal boxes either!
Thank you for the video. I understand this video is 4 years ago and may not get a response. I could use some advice about repairing ICF's that already have cement in them. Trying to finish the garage and am stumped on how to fix it properly. Thank you.
No crew has the time to do this for an entire foundation. This is extremely labor intensive and not a good overall designed product. Wrap the underslab and outside perimeter walls with a continous termite protection product made by companies such as Stego Industries.
Thank you for giving real testimony about BB! This is a great company. People are safer and more comfortable in an Insulated Concrete Form assembled home or commercial building. I am still designing my dream!
I would like to help you get a 100% refund. Please chat with me to invest in a crypto opportunity because no one should have to be oppressed by having to listen to a crummy musical sound track against their will! I deeply regret your suffering. Of course you can always press the mute button and CC to read the captions! RU-vid is interactive that way kind of like the responsibility of wiping your own backside - admittedly this gets tiring and boring but welcome to RU-vid!
seems way to finicky to me and to many chances of throwing the blocks out of level. I would rather just cut out a channel near grade and fill with mortar to provide an inspection area to look for those little suckers. Best combo it ICF and metal stud framing and eliminating any food source from the start. But I know that's not always cost effective for some.
