If you do it by night don't expect to be there too long. They close early. They all told us that it's about to close and to get inside. Then once inside they told us that that's about to close too. Might be best to go there during winter when it gets dark early.
They are coming to Roswell New Mexico in 2025! Its not over completely, but im sure it wont be the same as it once was in Reno. I live 90 minutes away and will be there, God willing. Anytime i get a rare and wonderful opportunity to see and hear the greatest generations' airborne creations come to life, I am in awe and appreciation of their ingenuity and skill. Those souls may no longer be with us physically, but their amazing legacy remains. KROW is actually an international airport that hosts a boneyard and a great fbo. Elvis Presley's private jet used to call KROW its home and i was given a tour. I have landed there a few times and have been met with nothing but hospitality and kindness. I have sheltered there until storms cleared my home field a few times and can tell you that the big beautiful v shaped runway has been a welcome sight to a storm weary pilot flying on fumes. God bless those whom have lost their lives this year and those years before. I cannot wait to see how this plays out here in New Mexico. I have an RV hookup here in Portales that will be free to anyone attending the race that is interested (During the posted race schedule only.)
Roswell, New Mexico! 👍😁Yes, I know about it too. I got their email. I can only imagine how much more famous Roswell will get, you know, with their UFOs. You're lucky you live close to it. I will have to fly over there and rent a car. More expensive for me. I got used to just driving from CA to Reno, NV and spending time in Lake Tahoe along the way. Anyways, glad the air races is still alive even though it's an inherently dangerous sport for both pilots and spectators.
THE RATTLING IS ANNOYING AND YOURE REALLY NOT SLOWING DOWN TO SHOW ANY OF THE BUSINESSES...YOU SKIP ALOT OF BUSINESSES WHEN YOU POINT THE CAMERA ACROSS THE STREET... LAME
Accidents and death here are no different than auto racing, boat racing and many other sporting activities that are not even racing. They are part of the mix. Participation is not mandatory or forced.
Yes, it's sad. I liked the slide outside the window. But, you can still come back here. Except, it's now a fine dining restaurant with a dress code and expensive food. I don't think it's meant for kids either. Also, you need to make a reservation. The restaurant is called 71Above. OUE Skyspace was the best because you could go up there cheaply and dress how you wanted to.
Good video but I would not be flying on a Boeing 737 in the future if you can help it. This plane has had a total of 529 incidents/accidents with mismatched hardware and fixes to problems not totally taking care of the issues. I watched a documentary on the 737 and an inside memo from Boeing had a whistleblower in the company say "The boeing 737 was designed by clowns supervised by monkeys". You were on a lucky flight!
Haha 😄Glad you liked my video. Yes, I know about Boeing's problems. I keep up with the news. I've seen quite a few documentaries. It's too bad. The 737 MAX is the one you want to stay away from. I made sure not to get onboard one. Never will.
Same here. The MAX is the widow maker. Ain't gonna step in one intentionally any time soon. Besides, the number of bathrooms per seat is ludicrous. That's how you can spot these when the airline is not too explicit about the equipment.
must have been a bit surreal to experience that on a busy street, very cool to see it look like night with all the lights and hustle and bustle. well done! And how in the world are people not parking and looking up!
Thanks. There's also a UPS driver in the video completely oblivious to the solar eclipse happening 🤣 I don't understand either. That was my plan: to film on a busy street in order to get vehicle headlights. I practiced a bit on my Sony A7IV and my Sony A6600 to get the right ISO to use on April 8th. I set the max ISO limit to 2000. This way, it wasn't overexposed and thus was the closest thing to how dark it really was.
Great Mexican food. The shrimp taco salad I had was really good 👍If I hadn't made this short video I would have lost my phone. The guy who works there, wearing light brown clothing in the video, handed me back my phone which I forgot inside the restaurant.
Haha :) That's true about the manual, Brent. In fact, I have it on video! I have all of us on video. Do you have Instagram or Facebook so I can send you the link? It's a private video here on my RU-vid channel. If you're listening, Casy, I can share you the link too. I will delete you guys' contact information after I receive them for privacy.
That's Texas. Weather constantly changes in April. One day it's super clear and sunny. Next day it just rains non stop. The wow at 1:49 was about the eclipse, or the price of the gas 😂
The "wow" was about the eclipse. But, looking back at it now I would say it's both 🤣 I also noticed that the UPS driver didn't give a crap. And, a few minutes after the eclipse had ended birds behind me were singing or something. I didn't notice because I was talking.
@@skatetoexplorevideos2477Yes. Where I was, away from downtown, you could see the birds getting confused and hastily going to the trees as it was getting deamer. Then silence. And finally they would wake up again.
We were lucky to have witnessed the solar eclipse! Most of the days were cloudy and rainy. It seemed like all hope was lost. But, on the day of the eclipse, and just a few minutes before it happened, a clear patch of sky was opening. This gave us the opportunity to witness all the stages of the solar eclipse; from start to finish. Near the end of totality the sky got even clearer and we were able to see more details such as how far the inner corona extended out into space. A few minutes after the solar eclipse had ended the clouds came back! It was a miracle that we were able to see the solar eclipse at all in this small town of Terrell, Texas. A town four miles away from the centerline of totality.
I was practically the mascot for the Time Zone arcade from 78-81, when I was 13-15. I remember well Simon Amaya Jr. who managed Time Zone and was like a second father to me, as well as Anna Marie Honn (RIP), who also worked there. At the time, I was obsessed with The Beatles, Foosball, and pinball. I also remember many employees of the Carl's Jr. from that era. I would be interested in comments from others who remember the Time Zone. It was a great time in my life. 😀
Wow. Wonder who built this mission? Roman Catholics you say? Glad you like it. Mi g t be a good idea before you post something like this to do some research on what happened at these missions. SLAVERY RAPE AND MURDER...
@@skatetoexplorevideos2477i swear I remember the place being packed everybody looking at me crazy like who's kid this iz walking all by himself 😢cps vibes
My fiance went there yesterday on her way back home and bought some Orange zesty cashews. They taste like froot loops. We are trying them right now with silk almond milk and its so good.
The extended video clips are a few seconds longer than the originals. I did this because my viewer retention rate is very short for my videos. So, if you don't leave, you can watch how long I intended my video clips to be.
It's normal to feel sympathy to the lost lives and their families... But we can't just shut down life because tragic events happen from time to time. Life can be dangerous, you learn to accept and deal with it. You don't rubber room life. You learn from tragedies and try to limit it happening again. Humans are imperfect, you, we all do the things to try to mitigate potential tragedy, but we also live life. The pilots here all chose and choose to do this racing, they accept the possibility of a crash, why stop them in future from continuing to freely do such racing if they want to do it? We can't govern our lives on pure emotions. We use commonsense and take acceptable risks in life.🤔
@@frankdamato8405 Three location are under consideration to host the Reno Races again. They are Casper, Wyoming, Pueblo, Colorado, and Roswell, New Mexico.
