We have the 22” travel grill and love it! It lives on our front porch. My hubby just bought me the 17 table top with hood for our little motorhome, can’t wait to use it! We bought adapters to be able to run ours off of a full size propane bottle. We have a propane fire pit, so we can run both off the same bottle (not at the same time) cheaper that way.
If you ever want a dark look for something another good look for cedar is a reactive stain. It’s just steel wool in vinegar left 1-2 days then brushed on and it reacts with the natural tannins in the wood. I did a wall in my living room and it looks like black walnut. Then I topped it with a water based clear.
I loved watching you cut the logs. Totally brought back all the childhood memories of our annual trip to Island Park to get firewood for the winter. I could almost smell the mix of pine and gasoline as I watched.
Love the gable ends decor. Looks great with the garage doors. Ugh! Yellow jackets!! They have been crazy this year too in Western North Carolina. I have the taller trap similar to the one you use; have used it for years. Since they love the mixture in my hummingbird feeders, I use it in the top of my trap and they fill it up pretty quickly. Going to get one like yours for our back yard. So good to see you all back so soon. Missed you over the summer.
Hey. Norm good job on the gate. Where you anchored that gate post , I would put a metal plate between that cable and tree.. so it want grow through so fast.
I would install a French drain or weeping tile to help with the water mitigation, it would save your building and lots of headache. I helped install several as a teenager and had to dig that trench by hand, but it was worth it for the homeowners.
You know sometimes it is best to call in for help, I know your family is busy, but you have some very good friends that could also be called in to assist. Your both doing great and are very much an inspiration. Keep up the good work and don't be afraid to call in help because you really are running out of time before winter hits.
Thanks. We had help in the form of 4 workers from our contractor. The week before that we had friends here for a week. Yep, we absolutely get what you are saying and we’ve been getting lots of help along the way. We don’t always show our helpers in camera because they would rather not be in the video 😀
I watched a video where they put a single strand of wire over the lines they didn't want to be accidently hit so that a sensor could be run over the pipes before digging. I believe that is also done by county electricians.
Yes, we did that too. This just adds another layer of safety and they will dig this up long before anything dangerous. The wire only works if they check for it and that doesn't always happen.
I love your channel, it gives me hope that an older person like myself and my husband could do something similar. Love the learning from ya, missteps and all. Jazz is a sweetheart, I understand the Poo part but what is a Cav?
Mix 2 cups apple juice 4 to 6 pieces of cantiloupe 1 piece of raw bacon 2 tablespoons of borax .mix together , prepare 1 gallon jug drill 2 holes in lid to hang jug cut slit in jug just big enough to allow yellow jackets in , drill holes at bottom of slits to put strings in and put strings on inside into solution , the wasps will get solution and take back to hive and it will kill off hive, best to do in spring time.
Must be pure borax, not the borax cleaning you see in laundry aisle. Amazon sells it in small pouches, only need about a tsp per trap. Yellow jackets LOVE cantalope
Yellow Jackets have been at an all time high for us in Ohio. Not sure if the extreme dryness has capitalized on that! I’m allergic to them so have been very careful when they are around me. Love your new barn design. It’s very sharp against the black!
You two are amazing and my favorites to watch. I’m a busy worker but you are running circles around me (70 yr female). Had the best camping summer ever! That is my passion. We live in Ohio and do many State Parks with the advantage of our Buckeye card giving us 50% off. That really helps to make it affordable. Your home has developed in such a fantastic way, from buying the property to current status. You are a great team!! I’m so happy to see more updates from you. Jazz is so cute and has really grown! God Bless you and stay safe! ❤❤
Really striking architectural feature 🥰 I had a moth infestation in my home recently. No yellow jackets. 💁♀️ Had to get Orkin out to fumigate my home. Nice that you’re making hay while the weather is good. I have noticed that you seem to think things out methodically. It bodes well for ya’ll.
Wow those yellow jacket traps just amazing. So the propane tank won’t be on a cement pad? Wow what a change inside with the insulation and ceiling. Love the new accent pieces! Looks great with the doors.
