When white balancing, you're selecting what supposed to be white. In reality this is a color picker for a "neutral" color, what is supposed to be "grey".

@@BenEspanto and thanks for the vid. the record button/toggle on glaxnimate is the key to getting the changes recorded per frame, and also if you go back to edit a file. (an earlier attempt following a different vid from someone else missed that important detail.) I was able to mask out reflections on a screen using this tool and a brightness filter set to dark. Nice clear instructions and easy accent to understand. thanks. I found if you removed points on your mask shape part way through the frame sequence, they were removed earlier as well, so something to watch out for.
