Absolutely my favorite trolling flies for Eagle Lake. Got to meet Jay Fair at the store in Spaulding, at Eagle Lake, must of been 10 years or more ago. I think it was just before he passed. He was with his son and was a super nice guy. Gave lots of great advice on how and where to fish with them.
On the directions in the can shows using way less product for brining one to two flats of green label. Should I follow the directions or dump the whole thing in like you did?
I look at the pay scale for the number of fish and I'm wondering is this a seasonal scale or a daily scale? In other words am I starting at the bottom of that scale daily or am I on the upper portion of the scale for the duration of the season once I've reached that number of fish? Thanks.
Cannot understand what is so special or different about P Line Minnow. I have seen many other Style Jigs that have more glide and flutter on defend, than this P line lure. I think a , " Much Better Lure", Would be the Canadian Buzz Bomb, because they Drop straight down, with a rocking back and forth motion, BUT..., Are spinning 360 degrees as they fall, desend. The Lure is always in the Horizontal position till it hits the bottom of the Channel, or other body of Water.
Do you live in the Portland area? I know last week the DVR recordings were off schedule and the show aired at 3 because of football. AWTV is airing weekly as usual but in Portland it's been a little erratic with the Olympics and football.
@@AnglerWestTV I last had two recordings that ended up something else and have not recorded Angler West for a number of weeks since. We have Comcast and have had DVR set to record for a long time and even when changed to different channel. Are you airing on a different channel? Comcast has gotten a bit weird to so that doesn’t help.
As a Pacific Islander (Palauan specifically speaking) the amount of wasted meat on that fish that man threw away is a shame. U can cook the entire tuna fish (except the poop) including the parts he threw back into the water. There are so many recipes he could have done with them fish parts. But then again l understand that there is a lot of work involved and he probably doesn’t want to deal with all that.
Lake Davis is one of my home lakes. I prefer Frenchman Lake near Chilcoot, Ca.It's also off of Highway 70. The fishing is better, and there are far less bugs!
Have I got a fly for you. $2000 for a dozen Oar knot. Haven't sold any yet but get ftee cigars and scotch from old John everyday I go fishing at Langford lake. The last six trips there trolled up 3 rainbows weighing from 8 to 10 lbs. Just saying.
Pretty much this. If you're pressure canning the tuna, you can store these loins as-is in a gallon ziplock bag and put them in the freezer. Take them out when you're ready to can, let them thaw a bit and while still mostly frozen, it's very easy to cut the blood line out.
I have an off topic question. What happened to the Angler West TV website, and the Angler West store? It looks like the store is now called Anglers Unlimited. Was there any type of announcement made on the RU-vid channel? Thanks for any information.
The store was sold in January and the new owners have really increased the inventory. Check it out. A new website is under construction with no tackle sales. Shirts & hats coming soon.
Wax paper will slow the drying process. Lots of people just use newspaper but I prefer a rack like is used to cool cookies. Just want to be careful about the roe sticking to whatever it's drying on which is the problem with paper towels.
This is THE BEST WAY TO FILLET AN ALBACORE!! After watching this, with no experience fileting tuna, I proceeded to fillet 7 albacore almost perfectly. I and other fisherman have really learned a lot here! Thankyou! Oh mendocinocoast
@@AnglerWestTV Gotta be the same-the handout map shows the Dry Creek Trail running all along there, just doesn't show Dry Creek. Has Dry Fork Creek & Little Squaw Creek as the two main feeders into Dry Fork Inlet. At least I know where I'm going next, thanks.
