We will all miss Mark Daugherty greatly as a fishing legend of Baja. I hope this vid will gain some more traction for people to see how much of an epic fisherman he was. RIP
Using electric reels somehow detracts from fishing. We used to call lings "lawyer fish." They're flat headed, ugly, mouth full of sharp teeth, and greedy. Perfect lawyer fish.
I hope there other people out there arecomplaining about the stripper limits ? Call ur representatives and start bitching! There should be a no limit on these fish and length size! There killing our salmon and trout fishery on the sac river! Not even a native fish to calif!
We have an amazing fishery here on Lake O but man those kings don’t cut anything like west coast …I try my best to never keep em. Not worth it for white meat
It really shows what alignment of public and private sector focused on sport fishing can lead to rather than letting a commercial fishery clean house or pretending healthy native runs will return. I'm all for conservation efforts, but solely hoping for healthy native runs is naive.
Ahhh.. The Trask. Fished the 2 bit and 4 bit hole in tidewater many years ago. Hooked an at least a 35 lb er that I fought for 25 minutes. Got it near the bank where it turned on its side about a foot under water and the hook came flying out.
I miss the California Delta. Lived on the water there for 20 years. I won several big tournaments there, including this one. Won 2 back to back Yamamoto big bass tournaments in 2011 & 20112. Retired on Table Rock in Missouri. Beautiful lake in the Ozarks.
What is the date of this day of fishing? I'm planning on coming over from Mini-soda in late August or early September and am curious what I should aim at time and technique-wise. Great video. Love fishing humans that get that excited. I know I do! Cheers!
10:33 I just watched this and wanted to know where a good spot in Sacramento I can take my kids to catch some stripers from the bank since I don’t own a boat and what bait we should use since blood worms are scary. Thanks
