Red Bulls slim inlets are the polar opposite to Mercedes zero pods in my opionion. The tiny letter box inlet isn't the sidepod it's just the entry to it and it serves to create as much of the undercut effect as is possible within the rules to make the absolute most from having sidepods in the first place. I'm sure Mercedes are looking at Aston martin, Red bull, and Mclaren who are all going in this direction and taking notes. I'm sure Mercedes sidepod design will be more optimised in 2024 and look more like Red Bulls, for now they have to compromise because their chassis is fundamentally designed around having literally no sidepods.
@@CTcuber4K don't forget the bargeboards as well. Zero pod designs have worked because the bargeboards managed the airflow around the car. But in 2022, removing them in the regulations made these designs more difficult and you can see that mercedes tried everything they can to emulate the effect of bargeboards and then 2023 regulations were the final nail in the coffin.
