Founded in 2017 by Attia Taylor, Womanly amplifies accurate, accessible health information through art and creative experiences. Our mission is to equip folks with the information they need to understand their health and make empowered decisions about their own care. We are committed to uplifting marginalized voices in our programming, films, webinars, and social campaigns, which reach over 30,000 people each month.

In December 2019, Womanly Magazine was inducted into the Library of Congress in print and as a part of their digital archives. Womanly has been recognized by Rachel Cargle and The Loveland Group, BeyGOOD Foundation, Brooklyn Arts Fund, the Community of Literary Magazines and Presses, and more. In 2023, Womanly received a Creative Power Award to support work at the intersection of art and social justice.
