I went with the same set up (29 inch J-pipes) but I still get drone under constant load from 1100 rpm to 1500 rpm. The only difference is that I went for an H-pipe instead of an X-pipe ...I wonder if that makes a difference?
@@sgj762 no, C219 5.0, but it's a W211 underneath with exactly the same exhaust system as the W211. I ended up losing the H-pipe & putting an extra pair of short glasspacks in the middle with no crossover. It's just right now. No drone, but the lovely V8 burble is always there in the background.
hey man i have a 2007 E550 and looking to do this same setup. I must be missing something on what the cutout dimensions for the exhaust tips, can you by chance send me what the measurements are? that would be awesome. also on what your J-pipes cost.
Christian Vujasić 2 lata temu I tought to ge one from 2004, 306 hp, but scared that repare bills will eat me alive.. maybe e350 2007 would be better alternative..?
Where did you get the J pipes for the car? Just curious. Thanks. Also I read your blog...did the J pipes make the car quieter over all or just interior wise.
Michael is correct, cats are in place. Car is completely emissions legal. mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w211/614183-e500-exhaust-muffler-resonator-delete-x-pipe-j-pipe-miracle-pipe.html
