Cotes develops, manufactures and sells the best adsorption dehumidifiers on the market.

We have a vision of a world where every business understands the benefits of dry air. As climate change brings even more hot and humid conditions around the world, we see an increasing need for our dry-air solutions to ensure that businesses in many industries can maintain their high standards without increasing their carbon footprint. Today, we produce and ship more than 6.000 units a year to clients around the world.

Our dry-air solutions do not compete solely on price as we don’t just sell a box wrapped in metal. We compete on integrated solutions, quality, integrity, experience and performance. We help clients protect their assets and increase efficiency during production. These extra hours of production and lower maintenance costs for our clients have a significant positive impact on their business, safety and operations with a strong return of investment.

Cotes, the right way to dry.

Unfortunately this picture is very much missleading. Take a sealed box half full of water, the other half is vacuum. What happens? The system will equilibrate into a state where a specific mount of water vapor is created. It’s vacuum and in your picture that would not be possible if air “holds” water….

well understand in less than 4 mintues with this temperture-moisture-R.H. chart and the new term "dew point temperture of water = fully saturated air with water" Never come across with the chat and term at physic lesson (perhaps sleep at class when I was young). Very useful information when learn how air conditioner and dehumifier working at DIY hobby class. Thank you.

Thanks allot This is the best video I have ever seen, I guess I know and have much better concept understanding humidity and how it relates to moisture and dew point... I will be great full if you can do video on how cooling of evaporative air cooler get effected when these factors are changing, I have practically experienced at dry air e.g 13% the higher the temperature better the cooling, only thing I forgot to monitor was dew point which I believe must be very low after watching this video, we had 13% humidity and 41c temp and I was able to get 24c room temp with pleasant feeling, on the other hand when we had 45% humidity and 35temp, I was hardly getting 28c temp in the room and feeling suffocated ... It was really so confusing but I guess I have much better understanding about what is actually happening,.. will be great if you can have video in this topic as well

So, you say there's 15 grams water vapor at 100% humidity at 20C. In what? In a liter of air? In a cubic meter? In your living room? In the sky above New York? The cute little volume bubbles expand and shrink, the temperature changes and the grams go up and down, but you never explain what these numbers relate to in precise engineering terms. Maybe you should clarify this for yourself, before you try to "teach" it to others.

Okay, so why do lower dew points feel more comfortable? If no more water can be evaporated, such as sweat, and at 100% relative humidity, then why can't I just look to see if there is 100% humidity? It doesn't matter what the temperature is. If it is saturated then it is saturated. How would I be able to evaporate sweat better at lower dew points, when all that tells me is the temperature at which the relative humidity reaches 100%, or saturated? 100% relative humidity also tells me that.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY, BUY A BREEZE! We use a product called the Breeze for our basement. It has a gentle exhaust fan (115 cfm) that is rated for continuous operation, controlled by a humidistat. Instead of replacing the exhausted air with outdoor air, it draws on the "conditioned" air from the home's first floor, avoiding the humidity problems and allergens that outdoor air present, especially on a rainy or humid day. The air quality in the basement has improved dramatically and we've been able to unplug the energy drawing dehumidifier. No filters or drains are needed. The company sells one and two-fan models that cost from $349 to $449 and carry a 5-year warranty. I strongly recommend the appliance. It's available on the company website (breezesystemsinternational.com) or on Amazon and Ebay. Much cheaper than the $1,500 to $1,800 units sold by Wave Ventilation, Humidex or EZ Breathe.
