No, that is not a typo, it’s really called Cecret Lake. I’ve hiked there 2 or 3 times. Perfect difficulty for my chubby self!

Just wondering if you can fish these lakes???
@HikingUtah
@HikingUtah Год назад
Good question. I don't really know as I don't fish. But according to this page, it's allowed with a valid Utah fishing license: hikingandfishing.com/hiking-lake-catherine-lake-mary-lake-martha/#:~:text=This%20is%20a%20popular%20hike,with%20a%20Utah%20Fishing%20License.

Hi! Would you say Dog Lake's water is relatively clean? Like, will our dogs be all muddy coming out of the water? We have a very large, fluffy haired dog and would love to bring him here, but a little afraid of the mess haha Thank you!
@HikingUtah
@HikingUtah Год назад
Well, I definitely wouldn't want to drink it. It's not clean that way. And there tends to be more algae late in the season. But it isn't muddy. Indeed, my dog seems a little cleaner after an afternoon of swimming. They will pick up more dirt from the trail after their fur is wet.

Don't ever feed the wildlife!
@HikingUtah
@HikingUtah Год назад
I'll need a better reason than that.
@BrickWallace
@BrickWallace Год назад
It's not just a snack. Feeding wildlife is dangerous for the animals and for you. There are risks to people. Animals that rely on human foods can become agressive. There are risks to wildlife. Animals that rely on human foods can stop naturally hunting or foraging and starve. You can help keep wildlife wild. Never feed wildlife. Clean up and leave no trace. Keep your distance. ⬆️From NPS A perfect example of the consequences of feeding wildlife can be seen at Angles Landing in Zion National Park. The Squirrels have become very aggressive and have resorted to stealing food out of backpacks, and in rare cases out of peoples hands. The trash that is left behind due to this adaptive behavior is ruining the natural landscape of the park and is continuous threat to the animal population there. Wildlife are not pets and we need to protect and keep the natural world natural.

Didn’t realize drones weren’t restricted up there. Maybe it’s just over the ski resort itself. 🧐
@HikingUtah
@HikingUtah Год назад
It's always treacherous territory trying to figure out exactly where drones are and are not allowed. I didn't find any restrictions about flying drones in this area.

It’s way to crowded up there, these days. Easy access, and too many assholes in the valley have turned this area into a bummer.
@HikingUtah
@HikingUtah Год назад
I agree that the Brighton area is getting pretty crowded these days. But most people are going to places like Lake Mary. I didn't find Twin Lakes that bad. Especially if you can go during the week.

@mariogutierrez3432
@mariogutierrez3432 Год назад
@@HikingUtah So if it wasnt deleted then where did it go ? Ok then ill ask it again . Why did you Only show the good parts of the trail ? Why did you only show the Jordan trail past 1700 s. And not the Northern end ? If your gonna talk about the Jordan trail be honest atleast . The Jordan trail is nice in some areas of the city but on the northern end its dirty and full of homeless camps and is inherently dangerous at night let alone in the day time .

@@HikingUtah Thats awesome your sharing the things you like and I like the video and the Jordan trail. But if your going to share info about the trail make sure your giving all the info you can about the entire trail so people can be safe and not end up somewhere dangerous by accident .

I ride the north end of the trail all the time. Is it the best, no. Do I feel scared, also no. I'm a female solo rider. I just make sure I'm off the trail before it gets dark. I've been riding the river for 11 years, and yes I have seen changes. But change happens.

Not gonna lie, Utah is probably one of the most amazing places I have ever had a chance to visit multiple times. And the versatility it has for hikers is just awesome. It's been too long since I had a chance to come, but thanks to you, I can come and visit at any point, which I am really grateful for because life has not been easy and testing me every step of the way. So being able to transfer me into this virtual journey at least makes it more suitable. Thank you again and take care, my friend :)
