I just bought a 2008 with 140K miles for 12K$. Its a rust free florida car from Miami. I like how it drives. Very smooth and torquey. I have already replaced the headlights and have new leather front seat covers on order. I am getting the itch for a OME 3" lift with coil rears. Enjoy your ride.
You wouldn't regret a lift. Added boost in looks, makes you look like a off road person lol, But most importantly is it lessens body roll and nose dive. So overall better driving experience.
High heat, but be mindful of the distance between the gun and glass. Instead of regulating the temperature, regulate the distance. You will have to trial and error until you really know how much heat is too much heat before the film burns. It's alot of reading the film and understanding it's shrinking properties.
I'm adding the jw tire carrier in the back, that's all that is new. Got some maintenance to do, belt and pump are due now and my oil pan is missing bolts!
I ended up removing soon after once it realized I could sleep on top without causing sag to the top board. We just shove plastic containers below there now, where we hold our camping gear and food.
HI. Nice job. Does the Dot Matrix pattern on the edge of the window lift up after a while. IN other words does it result in "silvering". I have a BMW which I had the tint removed after a couple of days after I notice significant silvering around the dot matrix edge. What's your recommendation on preventing the silvering. Thanks again
You can overheat it and press it down to try and keep it down completely. However even doing this I never guarantee it may not lift back up. The dot matrix limits how much the adhesive is able to grab onto the actual glass.
Would you mind measuring the space between the top of the tire and the bottom of the fender for both the front? & rear? (looks like previous owner took out some rake with the lift and I think the lift is perfect for what im looking for) thanks
@JBIRD575 for sure. As I tell my own tinters, everyone can tint and everyone has their method. Use what works for you so long as the tint got put on and client got what they paid for. Thanks for the input! I think we are way too comfortable bottom loading this way now
Just thought I'd pop in again and tell you that I just made my over the weekend and put it in last night. Mine is very very slightly different but almost a mirror of yours - thanks for taking the time to make this video. I'm super happy with it. First thoughts are pushing me to put some sort of bottom that slides out (not drawers, more like just an easy way to get everything tucked in the back). This has been on my to do list for ages and your simple design finally pushed me to do it :D
Chris, that is so good to hear man. Feel free to add me if you use instagram : Yeloautosports i actually would like to see how you did yours differently.
What pads do you use for the 1-2 step buff/polish? And are you using a 5inch backplate with a 5.5 inch buff pad? Love your videos ❤️ you inspire me to do what you do!
I use both 5.5 inch pads and 6.5 inch pads. I like using blue lake country hdo pads for cutting or microfiber if I need to get more aggressive. The lake country white polish pads I love using to finish off the car paired with sonax perfect finish
@@yeloautosports thank you for the quick reply! Also, what pad do you use for the 1 step buff? Also can you help clarify the product you are using for this 1 step buff? I can’t seem to find it online. Thank you. I’m a fellow Minnesotan as well! ❤️thank you brother!
The cost at our shop to coat an entire truck is $2200.00 Obviously this depends where you are and live as all markets will differ a little bit. Where are you located? Our protection is priced this way but also includes the steps you saw in the video with the full paint correction.
