I'm a 60+ mom with unique style using SUSTAINABLE fashion. My channel aims to help others develop their own sense of style using sustainable fashion. I feature vintage, resale and small, ethical brands (mostly woman-owned). My name is Rajka Hayden and I started this channel in my late fifties to share my lifelong passion for fashion ~ finding, altering, styling and caring for the unique pieces I own. I also share other aspects of life I care about ~ shopping small, sustainability, going gray, hair and skincare, fitness, decorating, cooking and travel. My motto is: Have fun and dress it up a little!

So cool! I got my vintage sofa from FB marketplace. It was in pristine condition along with a Hancock & Moore recliner chair and ottoman. Patience pays off! ❤
I love your cut!! As a youthful and mature woman myself I can't agree more that we don't have to dress sny certain way just because we're older. I always say, age is but a number. 🙂
I love the last look you showed. Nigel’s work caught my eye from the first time I saw it. I would love one of his jackets or a bag, but so far no luck on locating either. BTW I just celebrated my 70th birthday but can’t think of a better gift to buy myself! His work takes me back to my own teen and early adult years when I attempted the same thing he does by creating my own fabrics and designs, but with limited success. When I saw Nigel’s inspiration and talent I knew what I was missing 50 years ago!
@@TheDressUpMom Had no intention of adding yet another Sling Bag (Emerald is my fav too) but weight gain has changed my core clothing to denim so rethinking my tangerine 🍊 accent color to red. Voila! There was a beautiful red.
I'm so jealous. I'm a jayne fan and a hairstylist. i have gone to see her do haircut demos at a hairstylist convention and I took her online razor shag class. But she has her own gift and special hands and artistic eye that just can't be copied. I wish I could get a Jayne haircut. Its been 84 years... i haven't had a proper haircut in forever but tomorrow I'm going to walk my boyfriend thru giving me a Jayne shag. 😅 oh boy.
You are adorable! You and your husband are such bright, vibrant lights! What a wonderful trip to LA and a visit with Jayne. I am a real Jayne fan and she didn't disappoint. Great haircut!
Refreshing! I hope you’ll post updates on how you’re trimming it as it grows out. I have purchased Jayne’s Bangs and Layers classes and have been using them to deal with a short, mushroom-like Bob that I let grow out for about 3 months. I have similar wavy/curly hair like yours, salt and pepper, too. I’m pretty happy with the shullet I created (I think that’s what it might be called). I’m still working on getting the parts around and over my ears shaped so I don’t seem to have little cups over them, if you know what I mean. Thanks-your success cutting your hair in between cuts with Jayne is inspiring. Wishing you good health!
The best one yet - you look fantastic! I discovered Jayne's work via your channel & it's given me the courage to make some hair style changes and maintain a cut myself, so thank you both!
I only do the crown in the back. By doing that it keeps it layered in the back. I don't do the length. I usually just let that part grow or go to my hubby's stylist every 6 months or so to just trim the length in the back.
Thank you for your review. I went to see it on Broadway this past Saturday. I LOVED It. It is hands down my favorite Broadway Musical ever. I have seen the movie have not read the book. We went to the 2pm matinee. First of all we saw Pony Boys understudy Josh Strobl. He was amazing. I have of course wanted to see Brody and maybe one day I will. We got to speak to Josh after the show at Stage door. In conversation we were talking about how much he goes on for Pony Boy. Ps. He also understudies Johnny. He told us that Brody doesn’t do any of the matinee of the 2 show days. Josh said the reason why Brody doesn’t do both is it’s just too much from the singing the dancing and emotion to do it 2x a day. Ps they definetly cut the rain dance to be more of what you liked the choreographed part.
I'm so glad you liked it too! When we saw it the second time we also saw the understudy and he was good too. I can imagine it would be a hard role to perform twice in one day! Glad they changed the fight scene. Thanks for reaching out.
