Probably works great until it stops adjusting. It's BMW parts, why not use the Mercedes S class or the big wagon seats? I know, they're hard to find. But anything other than bmw from my experiences with them.
2011 GL350 here with 230K miles, and the last couple of days I’ve been hearing a constant light Slap ing sound on top of engine near the front drivers side camshaft.
Having trouble figuring out how to get to the bolt on the back side of the power steering pump bracket. The two on the front were easy but the one that’s bolted to the side of the engine is tricky to tell where or how to get to it. Can you describe how to get to it and what kind of bolt it is?
We call these the toaster, you got an awesome looking boost leak on the charge air tube there. Pull the whole front end to do any work on this bad boy, might as well pull the engine too
@@sprintermotors I looked at your site. Says Washington. I may make a trip up there at some point: I’ve been living/working out of my sprinter the last 3 years and I have been to every well known/youtube sprinter mechanic (from forums too) and have still ended up doing all the work on this rig myself.
Sounds a lot better lads, I watched from start to finish, I am thinking of getting a Crafter after the old pick up timing belts were changed they snapped after 65K and destroyed the head, Valves bent and one piston cracked but I am in the process of re building it the labour is costing nothing, as an Ex REME mechanic no engine job is to hard. Just old age at 75 the wrists have taken a poundng over the years but I will just plod on. I got a vave set an followers and the other bits from autodoc and all are the same size so just the valve grinding to do with my nice electric drill. a good job you lads, well worth watching...
Hello , good job but i don't understand if you stay whith manual leveling system or automatic leveling system? I think for have automatic leveling sytem i need wiring harnes from kufatec and sensors front and rear ,am i correct ? Best regards from belgium
You got some mad skills I bought a 2017 Mercedes Benz sprinter van that hit a deer on driver side easy fix had to replace radiator, fan clutch both belts , power steering pump, grill , radiator support bracket, fender , pull out fender support that was able to be reshape, it's a 3.0 diesel with 300k on mileage but highway miles still runs good & quite got it a good price only other damage is lower panei in front of drivers side rear wheel, looks like it can be pulled out possible reshape also, my plans are building it into a rv
Do not do this!!! I tried to do this but the pin and bolt fell from the tool into the crank case and i had to remove and disassemble my engine to get it out
No offense, but it's totally your problem. You could've put some napkins and prevent that. Even if it felt down, you can simply remove the oil pan, and no need to disassemble the entire engine.
@@sprintermotors no, cheap Chinese junk not fit for purposes and there's no way to remove the oil pan on a 4x4 sprinter without engine out, again DO NOT USE CHEAP JUNK!!!!
@@karldingbat I used cheap chinese tool over 200 times - no problems whatsoever. You have to grind it a bit to fit perfectly. You can remove small oil pan on 4x4 Sprinter WITHOUT ANY problems.
Hello, how are you? One question, do you have to remove the chain tensioner with this tool or not?, I mean if the chain is secured by this tool. From your explanation I understood that the chain tensioner needs to be replaced. My question only concerns when you put in the new chain, whether or not you remove the chain tensioner while replacing the chain, thanks
Thanks for the Video, I noticed you didn’t use the tools that hold the camshafts in place so they can rotate. Would you say these aren’t necessary? Thanks
Hello Friend. I have a ml 320 cdi 2007 year. Sometimes in the morning when I start the car for the first time, it makes a noise for exactly 1 second. Something rattles and stops after a second. My car has a mileage of 280,000 km. I don't know if this timing chain has ever been changed or not. I know that the air conditioner compressor bearing or magnets are damaged and this is also making noise. This noise can be heard from the compressor of the air conditioner. I hope the timing chain doesn't need to be replaced.
you dont have to bleed the injectors, its common rail, so you can prime the igniton, to get fuel going, and then start after turning the key 10-15 times
