This is my anti-captivity channel. I have been anti cap since I was about 10/11 years old and read a magazine article about Corky. Orcas are my biggest passion and I devour anything to do with them.
Why couldn't the government rescue both Springer and Luna at the same time? It'd be really interesting to see Springer has a buddy and both get adopted.
I hope she found her pod!! I am sure the orca has been in rough seas. It seems like the people wanted to send her to the other side for THEIR comfort in filming her release!! Not bashing just doesn't make sense to me!!!
7:19 Usually only babies are captured as they are said to be easier to train, so they were ripped from the mothers, with orcas they say that you could hear the mother screaming as they stole her baby
Definitely projecting / anthropomorphising, but I can't help but hear so much pain and sadness in his calls 1:06 . Completely subjective, unscientific opinion, but one that moves me nonetheless.
Part of a bollywood music video was filmed here more that 4 decades ago. Professor Pyarelal - Tere Siva Na Kisi Ka Banunga 1981 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EsMkNj7bCpM.html
Cute Keiko❤ When I see Free Willy movies, he was in all my heart. I will like a lot meet him but that's not posible. He was on Mexico and on his house, the sea. But my dad and my mom will aren't do a trip with me to meet him. Now its too late. Don't go to parks that it have animals in captivity please.
The story I hear about this man is amazing. The fact he started Greenpeace and Orcalab where he made contact to 100 whales. Having them meet eye to eye. Telepathic🤔interesting a 1000mile range unbelievable
I live this documentry! Its a bit sad tho, i love the river dolphins part in zop duisburg. The last enclousere was a rio negro habitt insted of the old pool. Ive been doing a lot of reaserch on these dolphins, quite intresting dolphins actully. Thank you for showing us this documentry, you shoud make a video about river dolphins in captivity. Bye😀
True! But zoo duisburg had river dolphins from 1975-2020. But not the best environment for them i agree, but usually they dont survie so long in captivity.
@@mariaystese3177 Why can't orca dolphins not survive in captivity like great white sharks can't ?? You're not ever gonna see a shark jumping through a hoop in a circus act at SeaWorld, a leopard seal balancing a ball on its nose, or elephant seals and Stellar's sea lions on display on exhibition there. It's like SeaWorld ONLY wants tourists, especially children, to only see the cute and lovable sea animals they expect to exist in the world, NOT the less attractive or less friendly animals that are not the poster boy image of the animal stereotype they wanna exploit.
@@CoreyMillionaire2029 yesh, its very sad to see how seaworld and marineland capture the poor animals, like killerwhales bottlenose dolphins. And lepords seals it think they are rare in captivity? The pups are cute! Dont you think?
@@mariaystese3177 There's only been one leopard in an Australian zoo until he died recently. The pups are cute, but still not like how we picture a harp seal pup! Get me?
Sea world pulled the babies out of the water many decades ago, and now you can see the effects... The old ones die and the population dwindles, while the babies of that time vegetate in captivity instead of enriching their families with offspring in nature.
People probably have a knee jerk reaction to this. But even if (they aren't) they were right and it was cruel etc, the ends would still justify the means. Proving their high level of intelligence shows that keeping them in captivity is immoral. Hard for the average person to fathom.
