I had one for the longest time. I put so much money into that machine. But it was worth it because it cut so flawlessly. The way the deck floated around the bumps in your yard I never got high spots in my cut. And the motor was such a strong runner I loved the overhead valve
@@fredpierson7488 I wouldn't do it. It was painted like that when my dad and grandfather bought it in 1977 and they didnt care how it was painted but if it could pull a planter drill hay rake or fit in the cultivator.
I was about 14 when my dad traded the JD 237 for the New Idea picker. Our Tractor is a 1956 630. I started running the picker at 16 and spent many fun hours on it. This brings back great memories. I still have that tractor and it still runs as good as it did 40 years ago.
