I have an organic cloth pour over and an organic cloth cold brew setup. Cleaning is easy but does stain the cloth. No problem and can be hand washed if needed and rinsed well. No clogging. Works with coarse to espresso grinds. I prefer espresso grinds. For our espresso machine I make my own filters for the porta-filter to keep the machine clean and to remove bitter oils. The cloth does the same by removing some of the bitter oils. A quick wash and good rinse with organic soaps is fine as long as it is rinsed so you don’t get a soapy taste which I have never had. So for the best coffee and smoothest use a paper or cloth filter to absorb the oils.
Man that bring me waaaaay back , in the 1970's we made the coffee that way and it was my " job " to sow when the time was there a new cloth bag on the metal ring . 🤣😂👍👍
I love self-help youtubers and admit that I have never watched your videos (besides this one), and all kudos....BUT. Ridiculous that you took the time and effort to make this video without covering how to fold the filter itself. Unclear on the concept...
I just bought this grinder from Espresso Parts. AMAZING GRINDER! I couldn't dial in my shots with the Eureka Zero grinder, so I sold it and purchased this grinder. Total, game changer. I immediately dialed in that shot that so many of us see on Instagram. One thing to note is that there are two different versions of this. One has the weight scale built in, and the other doesn't. I wish I would have known that before purchasing mine. The naming convention of the two grinders doesn't lend itself to noticing that there is a difference.
Hi I am confused some places sell just the burrs and some sell a kit that looks like it has the plastic holder. is there a way to replace just the burrs while keeping the same plastic holder.
This product needs to be reviewed by Lance "Tha Burrman" Hendrick! The industry is DEVOID of quality prosumer and commercial filter grinders. Please make the gen2 have vertical burrs though 😊😊😊😊
im looking at my machine and found that there's no screw inside the pump control. Do you know if this is something that i can purchase from a hardware store?
This is not about setting the pump pressure. The pressure is a result of the kind and amount of coffee, the grind size, filter basket etc.. The setting adjusts the maximum pressure before the opv opens. But with the steel it is not a good idea to grind very fine and adjust the extraction pressure by the max pressure setting because the opv sits after the flow meter, meaning that by this technique you never get a constant amount of coffee into your cup. So, the recommendation should be to set the max pressure to a value you never reach during normal extraction (e.g. 12bar) and to adjust the extraction pressure by your coffee parameters only (grams, grind size etc.) to a reasonable value of around 9bar. As a result the opv will not open at all and you will receive a more consistent extraction volume.
Agree, OPV is a release, not a pump setting. It's a backup plan, should not be part of the calculation. My steel duo is giving me fits . The three things OPV/pressure... time....and volume. Are not coming into line.
@@felixscholz20 do you hear it draining out the opv? then 9 bars is what the opv is set at. but if not, then as long as you're pulling 23-27 second shots, then you're good.
Does this grinder require some minimum amount of beans to sit in the hopper and press down the burr chamber for the grinder to grind properly? Would it grind well if there were only about 40g of beans (about two doses) in the hopper at a time? Thanks!
This method seems not to be described in Ascaso dream users’ manual at all (which is so bad for Ascaso not to write such instructions). On the contrary, Ascaso on its coffee washer powder says to only place the powder into the blind filter. It’s so upsetting that as simple duty as that is so confusing
Does the Able Kone 4th generation fit into the 3 cup classic series. The top seems smaller on the 3 cup than on the 6. I just purchased these and would hate to have to return it. Thank you.
I just got the gasket out and the tip I found from somewhere else is to first heat up the machine and pull a shot with blind basket in the portafilter first. It will heat up, make the metal expand, and make it easier to pry the gasket and shower screen. Then when putting the gasket and shower screen back in, after pushing them back up as high as it can go, use the same blind basket portafilter, put it in the group head to fit it all the way back in. Hope this helps!
You don't have to heat the machine up, but heating it up can make the gasket more malleable and can make it easier to remove. Try using a flathead screwdriver against the ridge of the screen to unlock the gasket first. Hope this helps!
