The hair that naturally grows out of your head can't be damaged. Except if you use heat or wear bald cap wigs. Comparing damaged natural hair to relaxers doesn't make sense since relaxers are intentionally design to damage the hair to straighten it while your natural hair can only be damaged if you mistreat it.
Relax your hair if you want but don't promote it. Some people don't know the consequences it can have on the health of their hair and their hair in general (high risk of uterus cancer, etc.. .)
@@ChubbyGirlInTransitBlack people created relaxers in 1905 to straighten their hair so that it would look more acceptable to the white society's norms. You probably know the history of relaxers and yes, you're entitled to relax your hair and promote it. But I don't understand why anyone would want to take us back to this when the natural hair movement allows everyone to learn how to learn how to take care of their kinky hair. Especially now that we know that relaxers are so toxic that there are risks of uterine cancer, short-sightedness, fibroids and so on.
Actually, the process of relaxing your hair with either Calcium Hydroxide or Sodium Hydroxide relaxer just alters the disulfide bonds in your hair, which can cause damage if applied incorrectly, or on dry/previously damaged hair. Relaxed hair requires extra maintenance because the process of breaking down the disulfide bonds to loosen the curl pattern makes the hair more prone to dryness. Relaxed hair just needs a good routine of conditioning and washing. The reason you get a relaxer touch up is to relax your new growth, (meaning your hair got longer). If it isn’t breaking off and dry it’s healthy. Please educate yourself I have long healthy relaxed hair
Some relaxers (especially ones with formaldehyde) can cause cancer! Not to mention a whole list of other skin problems they cause. Do you, live your best life but be informed about it!😊
Random but You should try doing a '' romanticizing my life video' or something along the lines, if you want to, I feel like you will do really well with it
