Please take your time to enjoy the beauty of nature!
Proof of species seeks to build an ever expanding picture- and videodatabase of all biological species. Our goal is to make it easy accessible, free for all and that everyone can contribute. The projects aim is not solely for entertainment, but also for documenting and categorizing life in the universe; science. We believe that if humanity see the beauty of the world and its creatures, we will become more conscious and aware of our relationship with it.
I've actually encountered one of these like 2 days before having this video get recommended to me, but I didn't know what type of mouse it was. Wood mouse, huh? I even thought that it was some sort of hamster at first, very round indeed
Looks like it is a baby mouse that is less than a month old. Small mousies have different body proportions than adult ones. By some reason he left his home nest (out of starvation or fear of some danger) and now get lost and don't know where to go. He is sad, very tired and misses his family... Hope he will find his way home before predators catch him... 😟
We tend to anthropomorphize rodents as being crafty and cunning, and yet this guy's ideal hiding place is the same as Dr. Doofenshmirtz's ideal spot for a self-destruct button.
The mouse: SuReLy hE'lL nEvEr fInD mE dOwN hErE. The Human recording the whole encounter on their phone: You are the sweetest little precious thing I've ever seen. The mouse: FeCk! I'm ExPoSeD!
