I recently built a pc with this Motherboard. Now I've been really busy after building it so I didn't notice. But today I saw that a red light is flashing under my GPU. Near the 1st M.2 slot. I immediately called the service centre and they told me that its the signal for SSD running. But I am confused how I didn't notice it before. Can you please confirm does any such red light blick normally in that motherboard near the 1st M.2 slot?
That white plastic piece at the top left of the motherboard is blocking my 360AIO fan , so my 360AIO wont even fit in even in thr ATX case. I wonder if we can or how to remove that pieces
@@ALKtech Bought a White 1070 Asus from Facebook marketplace £70. Reused old corsair ram from old pc 2x8gb 2400mhz. I just finished the build but encountered a problem with the motherboard I don't have access to Lan and the onboard Wi-Fi wasn't picking up any networks. I read I need to download the motherboards Wi-Fi driver and try to update them or something. Do you happen to have any tips?
@@ibruhprofen yeah you do have to download drivers first - always handy to have another PC (e.g. a laptop) to download all necessary motherboard drivers first, and have them on a USB flash drive so that you can install stuff such as the Ethernet driver and WIFI driver without needing to connect your PC to the web. You should head over to the motherboard page here: www.asus.com/sg/motherboards-components/motherboards/prime/prime-b760m-a-wifi-d4/helpdesk_knowledge?model2Name=PRIME-B760M-A-WIFI-D4 Download everything that you can see above in that link and install them, and you should be good to go!
@@ALKtech got it to work I had to get passed the internet connection step in the windows setup by pushing “shift + control + f3” so I could access the usb stick and run the driver update 🤣🤣
@@Andre-cd2ib damn, sounds like a less-than-ideal situation 😅 I've had this board with a 7800X3D and 32GBs of Neo Forza DDR5 6000 CL40 RAM, haven't had any issues thus far. I guess luck plays an important part sometimes..
@@pedroaugusto9_ doesn't seem to be much info available on this cooler on the web - you can always install the cooler first and see how your 12700F performs by doing benchmarks and monitoring the CPU temperature with apps such as HWINFO64. If temperatures look fine and the CPU isn't throttling, you can stick with the cooler for sure!
Check out the written review for this graphics card with more insights and comments on its performance: www.alktech.co/articles/review-msi-geforce-rtx-4070-super-12g-gaming-slim-world-of-warcraft-edition
Yes you can, though you might encounter throttling issues due to the weaker VRMs that A620 boards have. If you're getting a 7700X, I'd probably spend a bit more to get a B650 motherboard at the minimum!
For sure - the FPS will really depend on the specs of the rest of your PC though. Are you able to share more info on the processor/RAM/motherboard that you currently have?
@@Y4kPink_RL you'll definitely be able to run Fortnite and Rocket League at 1080p/1440p at pretty decent FPS with a 7600X+4060 combo, but with the graphics settings turned down a bit. As a yardstick, I previously tested a 4060 with a Ryzen 5 5600 on Fortnite at 1440p Medium settings (with Ray Tracing disabled and DLSS disabled), managed to get around 110 FPS on average. Hope this helps!
Unfamiliar with pcie gen 5. Does that mean that if i install windows on the gen 5 m.2 drive - it will run even faster than if installed on a gen 4 slot? Also, what benefit will i have by installing my GPU in the pcie gen 5 express lane? Will placement of a GPU here pose any problems with a GPU that takes up 2 or 3 slots? Thank you very much
PCIe Gen 5 is a faster interface for your M.2 drive versus PCIe Gen 4 - that said, you will need to have a corresponding Gen 5 drive installed on a Gen 5 slot in order to enjoy the performance increase. If you install a Gen 4 M.2 drive in a Gen 5 slot, the slot will simply operate at Gen 4 speeds; conversely, if you install a Gen 5 drive in a Gen 4 slot, the drive will run at Gen 4 speeds instead. Regarding the PCIe Gen 5 lane for a graphics card, you should just install your primary GPU in this said slot, though it's worth noting there are no Gen 5 GPUs on the market at the present moment - all new GPUs available on the market now are Gen 4 (PCIe 4.0). What this means is that the Gen 5 PCIe slot for a graphics card will simply run at Gen 4 speeds to match the Gen 4 GPU's interface speed. Hope this helps!
@@ALKtech All the help and understanding i need. Thank you for your knowledgeable reply. Since no GPUs come in a gen 5, i can live with gen 4 - even on the windows 4.0 slot. If i find that a MB with gen 5 cost a lot more i'll find a gen 4. Now that i know the facts of the matter, i can make informed decisions!! That's gold for me :) Thanks again for getting back to me. You sir have unsurpassable worth!
Gigabyte specifies a minimum PSU requirement of 450W - the RTX 4060 doesn't consume that much power even under load so you should be fine! What processor are you using?
@@shreeyashrane A 12100 doesn't consume that much power - you should be fine with your 450W PSU. Do you happen to know the brand and model of your PSU?
@@ALKtech it just says Atom v450, I brought it one year back. should I take the risk of adding gigabytes 4060? my friend is running a 1650 which is 75watt only I guess.
Unless you're a power user who would like to eke out as much thermal performance possible from your CPU cooling solution (e.g. for overclocking purposes), the average user probably won't need a CPU contact frame. My two cents!
Hey , i love the video, and i love that you are interacting with all of us. I have a question, i have a gigabyte b760m-c motherboard, 4070, ddr5 2x16gb 6000mz, and a i5 13400f. I want to play 1440 p competitive gaming. Do you think i need to upgrade anything or do you think my build is pretty good?
Hey there - the B760M C is indeed a budget motherboard offering - I personally would not use the board with anything more than a lower-end Core i5. The i5-13400F is somewhat a lower-end part compared to say, the 13600K or 14600K which are much more power-hungry and would definitely be taxing for the B760M C's VRMs. That said, I assume that your PC is already built and you're currently using it? Do you know how your 13400F's thermal behaviour is like, and whether you're getting thermal throttled? Have you tried running any synthetic benchmarks such as Cinebench R23 as well? If your 13400F is able to perform within spec, then there's no need to change out your motherboard!

Brown colour cob looks like shit. What they where thinking….
Can i ask you I have this board but i have a problem in the wifi connection i tried everything and still no wifi is it the problem on the mb so i should buy an wifi adapter or its a software problem
@@MarkDefault head over to Device Manager>Network Adapters. Do you see an Intel WIFI 6 device listed under this section? If you don't, chances are you have a version of this motherboard that does not have WIFI built in (the B760M-A D4, which does not have WIFI in its name).
It is best to remove that cpu spring mount and use a contact frame. 12, 13, and 14 gen cpus should be water cooled. A fan and radiator will not keep that thing cool.
Using a contact frame's a good idea, especially if you've got a high-end Core i7/i9 processor! If you're using a low-to-mid-range LGA1700 CPU (e.g. an i3-14100, i5-12400 etc) however, my take is that air cooling will suffice alongside the standard processor retention mechanism. My two cents!
@@ALKtech I have an i9 12th gen, EVGA 690 MB using the contact frame and Arctic 420 cooler. I use it for my LightWave and 3D Max stuff. Rendering for days if need be or testing games all day and night. Not one issue. Been using it for a couple years now. Some 790 boards will run a 12th gen with a bios update.
Budget board.. 200€, comes with all the features anyone would need and you call it a budget board. To most of us, that's considered a high-level motherboard.
Nope you can't - this board only supports 12th, 13th and 14th Gen Intel Core processors. For an i7-6700, you'll need to get a much older board with the Intel 100/200 series chipsets (e.g. B150, B250, Z270 etc).
@@Frixxuu I see! What motherboard are you currently using? If you're already using say, a Gigabyte board, it might help to have the same brand of graphics card so that you can control the RGB lighting effects from the same app!
@@ALKtech currently im using gigabyte b650 elite ax ice. Also I just picked up Zotac 4070 Ti Super Trinity White as it has the same price with msi and gigabyte aero 4070 ti.
