Could you tell me what zipper foot you are using. I have two, but have trouble making them work. Yours looks better.
@CharlotteKanStudio
@CharlotteKanStudio 24 дня назад
I’m using the standard zipper foot that comes with all Pfaff sewing machines so it probably won’t work for you unless you have a Pfaff too. Maybe there are similar ones for other brands too, but I’ve exclusively sewn on Pfaff so I’m not sure. Maybe ask a local sewing machine dealer?

Just curious how this all turned out? Were your treatments successful?
@CharlotteKanStudio
@CharlotteKanStudio Месяц назад
It turned out allright actually! I haven't encountered any moth damage so far in the wool that I have knitted up and I'm slowly chipping away knitting up my stash. The moth trap wasn't a good idea since I have my windows open a lot, which attracted lots of outside moths to the trap.

@@CharlotteKanStudio so what would you, in the long run, estimate is the easiest and effective way to clean/sanitize? The stream method?
@CharlotteKanStudio
@CharlotteKanStudio 28 дней назад
Yes steaming everything was the right call. It takes time but you can easily do it in batches. After the steaming transferring everything to plastic tubs was another good call. I did the same for all my knits and wool clothing. It feels a lot beter now everything secure in the plastic tubs for the summer. They are a bit of an investment so I wait for deals to buy them to save some money and spread out the cost.

Where did you get those lovely leaf straight pins?
@CharlotteKanStudio

They are the "Leaf Momiji Head Pins by Tulip". The price is a bit extravagant for pins though, but they are so pretty! They are on the delicate side so if already bent one, however I'm not too precious with my tools.

@CharlotteKanStudio
@CharlotteKanStudio 3 месяца назад
I use SolarFast paint, it's made by Jacquard. You use a paintbrush to paint it onto the fabric and add plant material or a photonegative film. I put glass on top so the negative or leaves stay put and then you expose it to the sunlight or an UV light (like the face solarium). This clip is just after the sun exposure. After the exposure you need to wash to remove the leftover paint and then the result is permanent. I find the SolarFast is hard to come by outside the US, I'm in the EU. The result is similar to cyanotype, so if you can't find SolarFast look for cyanotype paint.

How adorable, I would love to make these for my grandkids. You mentioned a line version in your tutorial. What is a line version? Where could I find the eyes, and lastly, what fabric did you use? Thanks!
@CharlotteKanStudio
@CharlotteKanStudio 4 месяца назад
Thank you for your kind words! The line version is probably where I meant lined version, which you could easily do with some customizations. Or you could use this bag as a basis: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CyoxUAql6Nc.html You can probably find the eyes at a big craft store and definetly online. I've added a few options to my Amazon list under notions even if you don't use Amazon you can use the description to find them elsewhere. www.amazon.com/shop/charlotte_kan. The fabric I used is a plain woven quilting cotton. The purple was quite lightweight I think i'd prefer anything from 150gsm to 200 gsm. The shop where I bought the orange fabric said it was poplin, but I always associate that with a finer weave. I'm sure your grandkids will love the goofy bags!

Is the there a mistake at the end? After the seam allowances the total should be 15x21cm but you have 15x19cm. Did I add things up wrong? Am i going crazy?😅
@CharlotteKanStudio
@CharlotteKanStudio 4 месяца назад
You are correct! It should be 21cm not 19cm 😱 I can't believe I missed that and I'm glad so you caught it! Sorry for the confusion 😅 Sadly I can't fix it it in the video without re-uploading, but I'll add it in the description.
