I am a legally blind (20/200) masters student pursuing my degree in clinical counseling. Is there any way i would be able to try Esight to see if it would help me? It is necessary for my career that i be able to see non-verbal cues of clients, which is very difficult for me right now.

I lost my vision in one eye from NAION. I am a visual artist and realized that I can see my artwork better through my camera phone than my bad eye alone. So I wondered why not use technology to make Star Trek next generation style glasses. I googled and found this. The video is three years old. Have you dropped the price? It shouldn't cost more than an expensive phone which is about $1000. Have you begun working on getting insurance to cover at least some of the cost? Maybe you can team up with Google and get this product out for less?
