Good question Elan. CCMT as you know is only single sides, so with CNMG 09 you are getting two extra cutting edges. Also CCMT is designed for light machining like finishing or semi finishing with its 7 degrees of clearance. CNMG is a much stronger insert in a more supported pocket aimed more into heavy to medium machining.
