Hi, KVM-A8 itself does not provide OLED assembly, because it is a PCIe version and is installed inside the chassis, so OLED is not necessary. We put an OLED inside to facilitate some customers to debug or DIY. You can completely ignore it. Our installation video does not mention it either.
Shows right on the small directions that come with it. Looks something like pwr, rst, hled, pled. If the LEDs dont light up then just invert the cable. Pretty simple.
The big black 2x4 pin headers are for connecting to the front panel buttons and LEDs. One group of pins goes to the front panel and the other group goes back to the motherboard front panel header. Yes you can still use the buttons on the PC case perfectly fine. The internal USB header is to power the actual pi and the external power is to power the "hat" that comes with the kit. As long as you have more than just a single USB header on your motherboard then you will still keep the front USB functional.
I have the previous version. Geekworm needs to do a step-by-step guide on turning on the I2S audio in the Pi. Could get the vision, easy, but the audio, NEVER.
Hi, to use the audio function, you will need to connect the 10pin I2S audio cable,if use the X1300, you will need to use with X1300-A2 to get the audio function.
@@Geekworm Also, 2 weeks to reply to comments, is second rate customer support. There's never been any reply to questions on the X630 pages on the Geekworm Wiki.
@@Geekworm I have the X630, X630-A2, X630-C1 - NONE of the guides show how to set up the OPERATING SYSTEM to get the I2S Turned ON. Hardware assembly is done. HDMI Vision is working. Sound Is Not because there's no information on how to turn it on published.
@@Geekworm Ahhh, the 'not gonna answer, answer'. Sure, I'll dig it out and send an email. but that doesn't change that none of your documentation includes any information of getting the I2S port to function in the Operating System.
Question : i want to add 2TB of ssd storage on my raspberry pi 5 and i am using Geekworm M901 PCIe to M.2 Key-M NVMe SSD PIP TOP the current ssd WD-Blue - SN580 which i have does not shows up on pi OS after enabling in config.txt please help me to decide which should i purchase ?
do you provide heatsinks as well? because I can't see that on your website. also would the aluminum heatsinks fit in the case considering there is a fan there as well.
@@Geekworm The radiator we provide is relatively thin, so it can also be installed. The fan blows towards the radiator, and the heat dissipation effect will be better.
Ended up that my mini itx case was not tall enough to fit the internal USB cable connector and still get the case on. Moved the build to an ATX case and all is working great. Now I want to buy a SuperMicro server board and max it out with RAM, CPUs, gpu or two for AI. This KVM-A8 is great!
What is the predicted battery life at full power usage of the pi5, what is the overall rough hight with the m.2 adapter installed. could you provide a 3d model by chance?
Currently it seems they work primarily with raspberry pi. During my time looking into universal cases, I come across insect breeding tanks. They are ventilated, have a lid for easy installation and are dirt cheap. they're also plenty big enough for a ups or power bank with a buck converter.
How about battery assembly? How about audio cable assembly? Heat sink assembly? Not mentioned at all, and not installed in the video. This is not a complete video. And for the updated board, this video is not updated..
I've been looking for information on this solution for some time, so with x1202 UPS and nvme ssd does the RBpi5 work at full power with even 1.6 amps on the USB ports?? I would like to use this solution for an automotive application.
VERY good question. I would presume it has to be that case if the power supply is 5v 5a since that is what we are told makes the pi run at max efficiency. since the power input is 5.1 volts and 5 a of the ups its a definate matchup for the full use of the pi. how long i could do this is a worry. i want at least a full 3/4 hour run time without having to plug in!
Hi I have my Raspberry Pi five set up with the SD card is the os and I want to use the MM U as the storage device for the game ROMs and other stuff for some reason the Raspberry Pi five doesn't see the extra storage connected is there something I'm doing wrong🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Glad you guys sell the acrylic case but wish that for this model there were more of a market still because you seem like the only ones with SDD for the 3B and a case
Any work to switch to different PCs remotely using PiKVM native interface (not with a hotkey, as that seems to be completely out of PiKVM's understanding in this video)?
The machine does not boot without an SD card, but I can't believe the video does not tell us how to prepare the SD card with the required software as its not going to work with a vanilla RPI image.
Thats an great case... but i have one objection regards antenna as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth antenna are both included with latte Panda delta 3 and an LTE module is also supported via the M2key..Thats at least five ariels to attach to the base of the case if using internal FPC self adhesive antennas but does that Aluminium housing affect the overall signal performance?..I take note the large margin on the bottom of the case which would give an clear passage and opening for the antenna signal but what about signal performance regards the Aluminium materials used will this have any discernable effect?
