Can I know how to filter for example Waste removal, Cable and Holidays all at once instead of manually clicking the tick box?i.e by typing in these 3 in the filtering box?
If you don't have the option, it is possibly in the top. Go to the "Home" tab and in the "Editing" section, select "Fill" and then "Series..." from there you can change it. It might only work for the selected cells and you might have to redo the action each time.
This is one of the single most annoying features of the latest excel. No one asked for this. I tried the option trick but unfortunately it doesn't work for me. I suspect it's around IT security settings in my organisation.
Hi, thank you for the video. So we have that the present value at the 3rd year is 500/((1+0,25)*(1+0,25)*(1+0,15))=278? Is it correct the formula I adopted? So 278 means that is equivalent receiving 500 at year 3 or 278 at year 0 (i.e., now)?
I agree with what you said in the video but I don’t understand why when we deal with bonds to calculate the Price and so the PV we consider spot rates and so for instance if we get 5 dollars at year 3 we just consider the interest rate at year 3 (e.g., 3%) and so we have 5/(1+3%)^3 totally disregarding the interest rate in year 1 and year 2
Is there a way to reorder the labels bottom to top? Say I wanted years on top, then quarters, then dates. Is there a way to flip them without reordering or moving cells?
You have no idea how useful this was. I had a matrix of 8x120 monthly capex numbers, each row with a different use life, and it made no sense to have to build a depreciation schedule in matrixes. This save me up a lot of time and space. Thank you!
This video is helpful to organise the data thank you ! I've got one doubt. I have a college assignment to create a list of 100 tasks as a WBS and export this excel data into MS project later on . Now i would like to codify the tasks ( like 1.1 with two indent spacings and 1.1.1 with 6 indent spacings etc.) So shall i start numbering and indenting at the very beginning when i create the list of tasks or is there a way to number and indent at the end ?
Avoiding vba you could create a formula that counts how many . in the description e.g. 1.1, 1.1.1 etc and gets a unique number. Then use the filter to show all the same level and apply the indents to many items at once.
Good video BUT you literally glanced over the biggest annoyance of hyperlinks 2:18 you click the hyperlink for income statement and Excel focuses on the first moment it can put the cell on the screen. When the vast majority of people click the Income Statement hyperlink they want it to focus to the top left of the screen not at the bottom or the far right of the screen. Is there a solcution to that issue?
