It is near the top. The pickup combination is just about perfect and it plays amazingly. I didn’t go crazy on the Bigsby, but I had no tuning problems with it.
SOLID! Excellent vocals and I love the groove in your playing style. Bass player (and singer) here. I'd love to play with you! If ever you're in North Eastern France, let me know! 😉 Bravo again on your playing, Friend.
Good stuff. Nice Strat, can't make out the color too well; is that a blue burst? Is that actually a Strat Plus with a pickup change? I see the older style roller nut. I have a 91 Strat Plus and love it.
Good eye! It is a 93 Strat Plus. I think the Plus series are the best guitars Fender ever made. In the early 00s nobody wanted them because they weren’t “vintage,” so I was picking them up for a song. I had3, now down to 2. I love the Lace Sensors, but wanted to try something else. It had an Air Norton in the bridge, Blue Lace Sensor in the middle, and a Gibson ‘57 Classic in the neck.
What do you mean ish? You killed it. I play this song almost every morning too but use the song as the backing track. Don't have the chops ( or guts) to try what you're doing so Kudos man. Nice job!
The “ish” is just because it’s not really a note for note replica. I play the rhythm part a little differently to make it easier to concentrate on the vocals. There aren’t enough hours in the day for me to learn that solo, so I just started doing my own thing. Glad you liked it, though. Thanks.
@@everythingtoexcess Any attempt at playing Rush is a bold move. Playing the guitar part while singing..Yikes!..that's no mean feat. You did an amazing job and I enjoyed it a lot.
Excellent playing! It’s reminiscent of some of the more mellow Steve Morse compositions. Thank you for highlighting the full-bodied tone of this guitar. So many reviewers dwell on the bright tone. Good to see this axe can cover both. I traded in my standard Tele because I find the traditional squared off body to be uncomfortable to play. I’m looking forward to getting one of these soon!
@@everythingtoexcess You're welcome. I saw Morse back in the early 80's and I think he was playing his Tele if I remember correctly. I think he'd definitely approve!
Ok this video has been on my front page for the last few days and it was annoying me not going to lie so I decided to watch haha. I must say I'm pleasantly surprised, really cool chords and great voice! Bring back corny 80s music video backdrops xD Apparently youtube knows what I like better than myself lol
This is not the Squier. This one was parted together from different sources. The other guitar player in a band I was in had the Squier and it was a great guitar. We modded it a little and did a video about it. I have to track it down.
I never thought of doing that. Those are parts of three of my originals. The first one is from a song that won’t be out until April. The second one is “To Whoever You Were Then,” which is on an album called To Whoever You Are Now by Pinnacle. The third (the harmonics bit) is from “Some Just Sleep” on A Blueprint for Chaos, also by Pinnacle. I’d like to do Tabs, but time is in short supply. We’ll see.
No. It’s a song by my band, Pinnacle. I may or may not have stolen the title from that fantastic Living Colour song. I wrote it so long ago, I don’t remember.
