Do you sell wound salve for newly pruned maple branches? I see to have reticulum wilt and have sawn off several branches about 1 inches across or less.
I bought a good sized little gem (cercinatum ) from my local place. He gets his stock from bucholtz, I guess I did get something from yall! Hope everyone gets something they want 🙏
New to your channel and think your info is excellent. I'm in central California and purchased a couple of maples last month and re-planted them to the ground within a few days. Since we have been in the low triple digits with our summer temperatures, I was thinking extra watering would be required. Unfortunately my trees are dying. I have probably over watered. Should I dig them out to dry the roots and replant and fertilize, or just fertilize? Also, should I clip the dead branches and leaves? Thank you
I'm mourning the loss of sciadopitys verticillata. So hard to accept. Tree collecting is a up's and down thing . Clay soils with their movements stretched the roots I believe. The primitive cycad cell structure needs to be understood to preserve old plants. 😢
The beni hoshi trees seem very big. According to the nursery of my trust it will be around or below 2 feet in 10 years as maybe the smallest cultivar of all. I have one in the ground and it barely grew in the last two years so it seems the nursery did say the truth. Any thoughts? And do you know a yellow cultivar around that size?
Honestly, No chance it will be that small unless there is something wrong with it. It’s a medium to dwarf tree. It is comparable 6-8ft with ‘Summer Gold’. They tend to get acclimated the first year then grow. See any of the books on Japanese maples if you don’t trust our sizing. No one list it as 2 ft in 10 years
Amazing also negundo variegated gives that white splash I'm waiting for my gems to arrive tomorrow Acer Palmatum ukigumo and Acer palmatum Taylor ❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
The pinus densiflora.... dragons eye ain't even gonna try the botanical name. Anyway the candles on mine have the strangest blue green color to them which I love. I also love the irregular cloud pruned natural shape they take on.
